Princess: Theodora is third in the line of succession to the throne. She has low chances to actually become heir to the throne, as her eldest brother is married and expecting a heir, and her other older brother is engaged. However, she is still trained to become Queen if a tragedy were to strike.
General: Since Theodora is so low on the line of succession, she joined her kingdom's army at the age of 17. In the last six years, she has managed to rise to General of the army.
Character ProfileAppearanceTheodora inherited her family's tall genes, standing just under 5'10, and often being close or over 6'0 whenever she wears heels. Her build is proportional to her height and weight (156lbs), and her height mostly comes from her legs, although she does also get some height from her waist. As somebody who serves in the army, she has gotten into and remained in very good shape. However, she is not overly bulky and her build still remains quite feminine. However, she does boost a decent amount of muscles along her arms, and even have a decent six-pack. Her legs also hold a good amount of strength and muscle.
Theodora has slightly curly brunette hair that reaches to her midback. She often keeps it in a ponytail or a military-styled bun. However, whenever she is dressed up for events or balls or any royal events, she keeps it down and curls it so it is more wavy. Her eyes are a dazzling sapphire blue that are not too dark or too light. However, they do seem to darken whenever she gets angry or overly serious. But in the sunlight and when she is smiling, they almost seem to lighten up and shine. She has always kept careful care of her teeth, and they remain a healthy ivory, giving her a charming smile. Furthermore, she has a fair-olive skin tone, that is slightly darkened from days spent outside. One of her favorite facial features are her freckles, which are actually kind of difficult to see unless one is looking very hard or the sun hits them just right. The freckles are lightly smattered across her cheekbones, and while she avoids makeup as often as she can, sometimes she will wear just enough so the freckles will stand out. She also sports a fair amount of scars across her body. Some of them come from her childhood, tripping over things playing with her brothers, falling off horses, climbing things, things like that. While some of them come from her time in the army.
She is most often found in her military uniform. Which for her is consistent of black fabric, black trousers, and a nice button up black shirt. Her medallions and her rank medallions rest on her left collarbone and hang down over her shoulder toward the front. She does have a commander's cape that she refuses to wear except for military events where she must. It is also black but hosts the kingdom's royal crest on the back.
However, in the case of actively participating in a war. She does have actual armor that she wears that helps protect her. Besides that, she will dress in casual clothes, such as trousers and a t-shirt.
Yet, since she is a royal, and there are often a lot of events and moments where she must dress formal. She can also be found in dresses. Often long ones that just touch the floor, she likes ones with a slit in the thigh. Her dresses typically have a v-cut that dips somewhat low, but not too low. Most of her dresses are strapless, but some have thin straps. They are also often darker colors, blue, green, red, purple, black.
Tonal/Voice Theodora's voice is decently pleaseant to listen too. It is not too deep, nor is it too high pitched. She can be very expressive in her tones, however, will sometimes speak in a monotone voice. She speaks at a medium pace, so people can understand her. However, if she gets excited, she will speed up and is often told to slow down. While she speaks at a decently loud volume, she can get much louder if needed. If you are close to her, she often speaks with a playful/sarcastic attitude. But she usually remains professional. Personality As a Princess and a General, Theodora hosts a couple of different personalities. One that she uses solely for public interactions and royal events. She remains calm, collected, and very hard to rattle. And since royalty can be very difficult to navigate, especially when dealing with other kingdom's royals, she is always thinking before she speaks. She remains incredibly professional. However, if she is speaking to somebody within her own kingdom, her responses are a little less careful. She will not spill secrets or say anything incredibly personal. But she is less careful with her words, as typically her own people are not against her.
Theodora also has a General side, where she is still calm, collected, hard to rattle, professional, and thoughtful. However, she is also a little stricter and more likely to yell (not in a bad way). She is much more authoritive since she holds a high position in the army. She enjoys training others and training for herself as well. Training is often when she is at her happiest, because she enjoys it so much. However, one can easily see the burdens she has since as a General she can make decisions that either save her soliders, or could cause their death. So while she enjoys being a General, she knows that it is not all rainbows and unicorns.
Finally, her softer side is most often seen only by close friends and family. This is when she is at her most relaxed and playfulness. She is much more emotionally vulnerable around people she trusts and is more likely to express herself when this side is visible. She does not keep her expressions as neutral and careful and is more likely to smile and be kinder and softer. Her smiles and laughter are more common and more genuine. She actually is quite a playful and sarcastic person, however she only allows this to come out around people she can trust. She is very family-oriented, and adores her family utterly.
She does struggle to express herself fully, however is more likely to try with those who are her close friends and family. Her love language is touch, which is ironic as she usually hates physical contact with people who are not her family. She is also quite intellligent and strategic, which is beneifical in the army, especially at her rank where she makes many decisions. She also has incredible leadership skills which are often showcased through the army.
Weaknesses and Flaws
Theodora also has her fair share of weaknesses and flaws. She is a bad overthinker and can drown in it, as she worries that she is not working up to the right images. She worries that she is not ensuring that army is at its full potential, and she is failing her kingdom. She also has a bad habit of bottling things up, and over certain things, finds it that it is very hard for her to open up emotionally. She also struggles with finding a perfect balance for herself. She likes to take on as much as she can, forgetting that she needs rest and relaxation too. She has worked herself into the ground before, once forgetting to sleep for two days before her body crashed out on her and forced her to sleep.
She also has anxiety that she struggles to handle. Because she stacks so many responsibilities and stress upon herself, her anxiety can skyrocket because she worries she is not giving enough to each responsibility. Or that she is doing something wrong. Another problem that leads to it is her bad habit of not asking people for help. She often thinks she can handle it alone, and she hates bothering other people with her problems so she often just struggles quietly. Most of the time, others have to force her to let them help or trick her into letting them help. It's not because she thinks she can do it better, it's because she doesn't want to dump her problems onto anybody else.
Strengths
Theodora's strengths involve mental resiliece. Even though she can spiral and struggles with perfectionist and anxiety, she never lets it slow her down for long. She just bottles it up, shoves it away, and keeps on going. Which is not the healthiest method, however it has worked. In public, she can handle the pressure and criticism the people throw at her, and it is incredibly hard to unnerve her. She is a strategic thinker with exceptional awareness that keeps the army efficent. She is also very adpative and works hard to ensure that the army is at the best it can be. BackstoryTheodora has always had a strong interest in the army, which her parents spent most her childhood trying to gently discourage, mostly for fear of losing her in war. However, by the time she hit her teens, she was practicing swordfighting with her brothers in the training yard whenever she could. Then, when she was old enough to, she enlisted in the army and began training the next day. She proved to be a natural within the first week and survived basic training quite tremendously.
In her first year, she climbed ranks quite quickly until she hit Lieutenant. She was especially good with training new recruits. One of her favorite things to do was swordfighting, so she was always able to help new recruits with that. She remained Lieutenant for four years before she started climbing ranks again, becoming General by her fifth year. Now six years in, she spends more time behind desks and coordinating with her Lieutenants, Captains, and brothers about how to run the army. However, she still tries to remain as involved as possible.Whenever she has free time, she often jumps back out into the training field and works with her soliders on sword training. Although, since the recent boom of dragons and dragon riders into the army, her focus has remained there. They have always had dragons in their army, like many other kingdoms, however their numbers have been growing. So she spends a lot of time in the sky with Isamuss working with the other dragons and their riders as well.RelationshipsWilliam KingsleyFather. Alive. William and Theodora get along famously, but William does spend a lot of time worrying for his daughter. He supports her, but annoys her with all of his worrying questions. But she answers patiently because she knows he's just worried.Isla KingsleyMother. Alive. Isla and Theodora are quite close as well. Isla worries for her daughter, but she does not quite worry as deeply as her husband. Isla trusts her daughter, and the two often spend their free time talking and having some quality mother-daughter time.Edward KingsleyEldest Brother. Alive. Edward is the Heir and future King, so unfortunately, he rarely has free time. However, he is still close to his siblings. As they spent much of their childhood running around and playing. They are fiercely protective of each other. Edward and Theodora do interact a lot, however it is more concerning matters of the army and the kingdom then just hanging out.

Elder Brother. Alive. Benjamin and Theodora are close, and they often get to spend more time together. But, Benjamin is also a busy guy. But the siblings do try to get together to hang out at least once a week even if it is just for ten minutes.MiscellaneousTalents/Special SkillsAthlete: Since she is in the army and a dragon rider, she is in quite good shape. She also works out and runs on a daily to remain in shape.Dragon Rider: Theodora is quite a skilled dragon rider, although it helps that her and Isamuss have such a strong bond. It took her a while to master balancing on Isamuss' back without any aid, but that is often the way they ride now for stealth (others not knowing Isamuss has a rider). Swordsman: Theodora is quite skilled with a sword, and even knives as well. Swords are her go to, but she practices often with knives as well. She often keeps knives on her at all times in concealed places just in case she is ever without her sword.
Strengths
Confidence: Her confidence radiates especially in public. She is capable of approaching challenges and interactions with an assured demenaor. Which has allowed her to handle uncertainties and rival kingdoms.
Loyalty: Her loyalty is unwavering, making Theodora a steadfast and trustworthy companion. There isn't anything that she wouldn't do for her close friends and family, and those she trusts.
Patience: This helps her remain calm even in the most stressful situations and helps her make good and beneficial decisions.
Weaknesses
Stubborn: Her stubborn nature can be both a blessing and a curse. It fuels her determination, yet it can also hinder her from considering alternative perspectives sometimes. It can impede her growth and limit her ability to collaborate sometimes.
Introvert: Her group of close friends and those she willingly hangs around is small. Because people like to take advantage of being friends with royalty, she has learned that trusting others is difficult. However, this limits her connections.
Quick Thinking: Her quick thinking can serve her well, however sometimes can cause hasty decisions. These usually come out the most in her personal life and can result in regrets or unintended consequences.

Isamuss is one of the larger and oldest dragons known to mankind, towering at around 50 feet tall. His wingspan stretches impressively at around 150 and when fully expanded could block out the sun from view and are like massive sails soaring through the sky. Although, under the sunlight, one can see the scars that litter his wings. Some are short, and some are long and ugly. He has four legs and on his feet host large, deadly black claws that could tear craters in the ground. His body, neck, tail, and chest are covered in hard to pierce armor like scales. His scales are an obsidian black which makes him impossible to see at night. In the sunlight, his scales showcase old battle scars. While his underbelly is still hard and slightly armor like, this is his softest part, thus his weakest part.
Although he rarely lowers his head close enough to be observed by humans. He has so far only allowed Theodora close enough to see his head, which is larger than her by a lot. His head is roughly 13 feet long and 10 feet wide, while his sharp terrifying teeth estimate around Theodora's height at almost 6 feet long. While his eyes are a midnight purple, which Theodora describes as a "slit-pupil that is wider than a human torso". While Isamuss' horns are swept-back ridges that extend back at least three feet.
His legs are proportional to the rest of him, meaning they are huge. In fact, they could be compared to centuries old tree trunks in the Amazon. Another weak/soft spot of Isamuss is found on his throat, it is about six feet down from where his jaw turns into his neck, making it a hard to get to spot. Isamuss' tail is just as terrifying as the rest of his build. It is a large, muscular tail that stretches at least 38 feet behind him, ending in a spiked iron ball that Isamuss uses as a powerfully dangerous weapon, swinging at enemies with incredible strength and balance.
Personality
As one of the oldest dragons known, he has a lot of wisdom and knowledge within him. Since he has seen a lot of things, very few things phase or scare him. Therefore he often is seen as a unbothered dragon. However, he hosts a quiet intelligence that consists of a lot of observing. Some have described him as unnerving, staring with a knowing and unblinking gaze. Furthermore, he maintains a emotional wall with others. He hardly goes out of his way to interact with others, dragons and humans alike. While he does not like to speak a lot. He can only be heard by other dragons and Theodora, but even then, he doesn't speak unless he needs to.
However, when he does speak, he comes across as a little cynical and sarcastic. Maybe even a little heartless and blunt. He has a low, rumbling voice and a terrifying, powerful roar. So it is hard to tell if the dragon is ever in a positive mood. He finds much amusement in humans, especially whenever wars are started and considers them petty little things. He doesn't bond very often to riders, so when he does, it is because he holds the human in high regard. He often mocks other humans, and when he is exasperated, Theodora has described his demanor as "if he were human, he would be rolling his eyes."
However, since he rarely bonds, and when he does it is because he holds the human in high regard. That means his rider has his absolute loyalty and dedication. Even if he does not become all soft and cuddly, his loyalty is unwavering and unquestioning. He often becomes more sarcastic and teases his rider more. Furthermore, he never bows down, however will listen to his rider (unless they are saying something stupid). And although he always claims that if Theodora gets herself into a stupid situation, it is her fault. If she ever were in a dangerous situation, he would be there, ready to burn down kingdoms or take on another dragon for her.

"Isamuss."Theodora is standing in a large field outside the castle walls. Her guards, Lionel and Magnus, stand about ten feet away from her. She is in casual but comfortable clothes as she stares straight up, covering her eyes with her hand. Her black dragon is circling in the air, getting lower and lower with each lazy pass. A low rumble comes from Isamuss as a greeting. Teddy, are you wanting to go for a fly? She grins, "You know me so well, Isa." The ground shakes, dirt goes flying, and the wind burst causes the humans' hair and clothes to flutter as the massive dragon finally lands.Isamuss lowers his head to Theodora's level, allowing her to give him a greeting pat. But, before Theodora can move to climb onto Isamuss' back, Lionel calls out. "Your Highness!" She turns, "Lionel?" Magnus and Lionel's eyes are fixed in the direction of the castle. Theodora supresses a groan, uh oh, that wasn't good. A rider, somebody from the castle. Isamuss muses after lifting his head to look. Theodora pats Isamuss' leg, "Guess we aren't going for that ride." Isamuss rumbles, another time, you fly too much anyway. Theodora throws a grin at him, "Don't act like you don't love it too."She turns her attention back towards the moving cloud of dust, a horse and their rider moving along the dirt trail towards them. Eventually, the rider arrives, one of the messangers from the castle. The messenger bows from his saddle as his horse snorts. "Your Highness." She responds with a small smile, "Kingston, what do you need?" Kingston straightens back up, "His and Her Majesty request your presence back at the castle, they insist that it is urgent."Theodora's lips thin, "They can't wait for like an hour?" Kingston shakes his head, "I'm afraid not, Your Highness. They wish to see you as soon as possible." Theodora sighs, "Alright, thank you Kingston. You can go ahead and tell them I am on my way." Kingston bows again, "Of course." And then Kingston and his steed is gone. She turns towards her two guards.Three horses relax behind Lionel and Magnus, casually grazing. Two of them were Lionel and Magnus' rides, and the third was her steed. Lionel had a beautiful pearl colored mare named Pearl (original right?) While Magnus had a buckskin gelding named Peanut. Then Theodora had a dashing black gelding named Ranger. She glances briefly at Isamuss, this time communicating telepathically this time. I'll see you later. Isamuss spreads his wings, preparing for take out. Yes, later. We'll go for that ride later.
Theodora retreats back towards Lionel and Magnus. While Isamuss waits until Theodora is out of range before he actually takes off. Theodora watches for a little bit as Isamuss soars through the sky, before turning. Magnus is already mounted on Peanut. While Lionel is waiting behind Ranger, ready to help Theodora up. She supresses another sigh before she walks over, taking Lionel's offered hand and swinging up. "Thanks." Lionel nods, "Of course." Before he walks over to swing on board Pearl. Theodora steers Ranger towards the castle, while Lionel and Magnus move to flank her.

"Theodora, glad to see we caught you before you took off."Theodora greets her parents with a smile and a small bow. William and Isla return the warm smile, with ones of their own. "Kingston said you guys had something important for me?" Isla's smile fades slightly, she knew her daughter would not be happy for what they were about to tell her, but unfortunately, this was the only way. William also grows grim, which causes Theodora to shift and narrow her eyes at her parents. William and Isla exchange a glance, before looking back to their daughter."We've arranged a marriage for you."Theodora blinks once. Twice. Then a third time. "You. You. You what?" William repeats himself, "We've arranged a marriage for you." Theodora narrows her eyes, "I'm marrying... a stranger?" Isla nods, "Yes." Theodora grits her teeth. She didn't really want to get married, much less to a stranger. William calmly, but carefully continues, "It will be beneficial for our kingdom. We are--" She interrupts, "Creating an alliance." |
