Personality

Tends to be a bit of a smartass at times and can be slightly judgmental if you come at her sideways, she’s out going and social. She’s always been raised that way ever since she was little, being taken to outings and family gatherings, they were a huge tradition with werewolves. Family meant everything to them and to her.

She’s not the smartest but she is pushed to be “normal” in her parents words so she is forced into college where she is attending for a business degree although her true passion is to be a forest ranger so she can be out in the woods, feels more freeing, where her wolf can be at peace. Although she doubts that will ever happen. Due to her strict parents she is a bit of a rebel, acting out and sneaking out to werewolf out despite her parents wishes and rules. She’s agile and swift when her wolf is out, silent and quick but her fur makes her stand out and can be a hindrance. She’s extremely loyal and kinda hearted but has a lot of internal turmoil that beats her up inside and can make her become kind of self guarded and cause her to shut down when things get rough.

Shayla Fae Jones (mother)
- controlling and overbearing her mother was always overprotective from the day Talia was born. Always coming into her room without knocking, always peaking at her phone over her shoulder. Not only was she a helicopter parent but she was strict. She wasn’t the one who wanted her ability to be known about, she’d rather cover it with a blanket. Talia always assumed her mother’s dismissive behavior to accept that her family were werewolves and that she should be ashamed of it came from the fact that her mother used to be completely human. It was her dad who was full lineage wolf. When he had met her mom and they fell in love he had explained his family’s rules, their relationship depended on her becoming one of them and she loved him so much to the point that she let him, he bit her and turned her into a werewolf. Yes she was a werewolf and still told Talia when the time was coming but she didn’t know what growing up a werewolf was like and because of that is why she decided to be overly protective. To try and shield her children from things she didn’t know how to shield them from. Themselves.

~ Easy going, supportive, and honest her father was always there for her when she felt uncertain of what she was. He brought light to her heritage, to her ancestors. He introduced her to other werewolves within the community, he brought her with to family outings and or night runs when the family would go running during the full moon. He was fully on board with the whole werewolf thing and honestly took it as a blessing. However his love for her mom dictated a lot of what he had a say in. If she wanted Talia to stay inside, he told Talia to stay inside. If her mom didn’t want her to sneak out, her dad would tell her to stop sneaking out and he’d stay up to make sure she didn’t. His loyalty and devotion to her mom’s wishes were undeniable so when she wanted to leave for the safety of their family, he packed up everything with ease. Despite everything all he wanted was for his family to be happy.

Paxton Reid Jones (16 yr old brother)
~ Pax for short. Dependable, Protective, Kindhearted. Pax was only 9 when Taila and her family moved away. He didn’t have any clue why they had moved he just saw the after math of it. How absolutely distraught his sister was after moving. He kept close to her and kept her company in her times of need after the move even without knowing why they had moved away or what his family was. It was the following year when he found out what they were that he started seeking out his sister more for guidance, he became kind of like the void to fill in the gap of making friends at her new school. Through her high school years if was mostly just Pax and Talia against the world. He cried when he found out she was moving, but he was grateful that she was going where she dreamed of attending, he was glad she was getting the opportunity to explore where they used to call home, he just wished he could come with.

Backstory

Talia Jones came from a very long line of werewolves. Their origins last name being Fenrir which quite literally stood for wolf was changed into a more generic last name before she was born. Talia Moon Fenrir was quickly disguised with Talia May Jones. Her family wanted to be normal when they had her, or at least pretend to be normal, pretend to be 100% human. She went to a normal school with normal kids. She didn’t even know she was a werewolf until she hit double digits, her parents had vaguely explained that she’d go through changes, that she’d feel a heightened sense of emotions. At the time she had thought they were talking about her becoming a women like they did in her health class at school. Boy was she wrong.

When she turned 13 she had her full wolf out due to the effects of the full moon, her parents had kept her in her room while she rode through the shift and they explained and taught her how to control it, how to harness it. How to use it as an advantage not a weakness, not long after that they started enrolling her in wolf training & defense classes with other werewolves under the werewolf society. School was hard after her first shift. She felt like a monster, like a odd ball out and no one knew it. That was until she had met him. A vampire boy who she had seen vamp out on accident when she ran into him on one of her sneaking out adventures. It was later that she found out he went to her same school and they quickly grew close. She’d often sneak out and meet up with him at night and hang out in the beach, or at the park. The best of friends despite their differences, he made her feel like she wasn’t alone in it all..

While she was growing up, attending normal human school and starting wolf training, there were bigger things happening higher up in the world, more important things. A war of sorts. A rivalry. At first it had started with a random wolf ending up dead, then a vampire death. There was speculation about the murders and then more started to occur. The werewolves were convinced that the vampires were killing them and vice versa. This lead to a mass increase in deaths of both of their kinds within the area. Talia’s parents always prioritized their goal to be a normal family but when the rivalry started they were afraid and they moved states away from where the rivalry was so Talia could continue her training and schooling in peace. Not only did they move away from the rivalry but they moved away from her best friend, and the worst part was she didn’t even get to say goodbye, her parents had picked up their things and got her in the car and they drove away while she slept. It wasn’t until they were already out of the state that she had woken up and realized what happened.

So for the last few years she’s been in Idaho, training and attending school but now with her graduation highschool and being able to apply for college she picked a college in the state of where she used to live back when she was younger. She was going off of a whim. But also, she was curious as to what that college had to offer, after all it had been her dream college since she could start thinking about going to college.
