. Eleanor (First name meaning; Bright.) •~• Gender Female (she/her) •~• Age 21 •~• Nicknames Ella, Ellie. Used by friends and family. •~• Family Parents are divorced, but she's on good terms with her mother and father. It just didn't work out. She also has a younger sister, about four years younger. Usual sibling fights but love eachother in the end. Her sister often stays with their mother, and Eleanor bounces between both houses for visits. •~• Appearance Eleanor stand at 5'4 and weighs about 125 lbs. She has a slim build, with light tan skin, and long light brown hair that reaches about mid-back. She often has it braided, down, or in a half up half down style. Her facial features are average, nothing too notable besides a small faded scar near her right brow. Her eyes are a dark brown, almost amber in some light. She doesn't often wear make-up unless it's and event/special occasion, or if she's really feeling like it. She has pierced ears and is usually wearing earrings of some sort, most often studs. She has some freckles scattered throughout her arms, but they don't stand out much against her skin. She wears both jeans and leggings most of the time, shorts if it's truly too hot. Along with t-shirts, hoodies, and if she doesn't have boots lying around sneakers work too. •~• Personality If Eleanor likes you, you'll know. If she doesn't, you'll also know. She likes asking questions, though does have some trouble stopping herself from asking toooo many. She's been working on it, but it definitely still happens. She does not like large crowds of people, and loves to be on her own from time to time, to recharge. But that doesn't mean she doesn't enjoy hanging out with a small group, she does. Around the people she likes she'll often be the first to check in. To come if someone simply asked, putting others above herself. She likes to consider herself dependable and loyal. Though don't be surprised if sarcasm slips out every now and then. And if she doesn't like someone, she grows to be a bit colder with them. •~• Likes/Dislikes/Fears Likes: |•Horses•|•Reading•|•Drawing•|•Nature•|•Baking•|•Archery•|•Thunderstorms•| Dislikes: |•Snakes•|•Summer heat (but she'll deal with it)•|•Spiders•|•Tiny dogs (Don't ask her)•| Fears: |•Also Spiders. Name: Justin Edwards Age: 25 Gender: Male Appearance: Justin stands at 6'3", and since he has been around farms all his life, he is a fairly large bloke. He has a stocky build with significantly large hands and big muscular arms. His hands are usually calloused from working with them all day, and is often covered in dirt. Justin has light brown hair, with highlights of blonde throughout. As he works all day in the sun, his hair has been subjected to a lot of UV light, meaning his hair has bleached. His skin is usually tanned in the summer, and goes back to being fairly pale in winter from the lack of sun. His eyes are a bright blue colour, which stands out a lot more when he is tanned. Justin is a handsome guy, but he never gets himself out there, as he is always working and doing stuff with his farm. He never really has time for dating or meeting up with his friends.
Most of the time, Justin is in workers pants and a t shirt. If the weather is really hot, he will wear cargo shorts and a tank top, but that rarely happens. He has a cap on a lot of the time as well usually just black with no brand name.
Personality: Justin is a very hard worker, always willing to help out others when they need it. He is a very friendly and approachable guy. When it comes to meeting new people, he can come across as a bit rude and weird, but he's just often sussing out if he likes you or not. Once you get to know Justin, he is very kind and friendly, and will do anything to help out. As he is on his own a lot of the time, or around his family, he can be a bit difficult and awkward, but he soon gets used to it.
Family: Justin's family run the farm, with his dad doing a lot of the work. His mom works in the shop further into town, and rarely gets her hands dirty and doing farm work. They have recently needed to get a few pairs of extra hands to help out, as there is a consistent need for more work. Justin is out there at all hours of the day, and never has a day off. Justin has not had a day off in years, but luckily he enjoys the work and doesn't complain. Edited at August 13, 2026 10:52 AM by Silent Creek

(Was a bit unsure about how to start :,) Apologize for any mistakes, had to rush a bit.) •~• Eleanor was nervous. Not something that was overly surprising for her, but it still wasn't usual. She watched the scenery pass outside the windshield as she drove further away from the city. She pulled over to stop, pulling her phone out of her pocket and scrolled through it until she got to her GPS. After marking the route, now that she was away from roads she knew, she sat her phone aside and started driving again. Eleanor had been in a between state, trying to find a job that'd hold her until she could move onto bigger things. One discussion with her dad over lunch led to another, and that's how she found herself here. She'd contacted the farm her dad had mentioned, a family by the last name Edwards, about their hiring. That was a few days ago, and now she was heading out to their ranch. It was not one of the first things that came to Eleanor's mind when looking for something to do, but she'd admit it wasn't the worst sounding. It got her out of the city, and sounded like stablehand work would keep her busy too. And she'd admit a part of her missed the quiet away from the city. •~• The car finally came to a stop as Eleanor pulled up to what she assumed was the main house, the GPS stopping here. She grabbed her phone and exited the car, then turned and closed the car door before making her way to the home. Once up the wooden steps, Eleanor hesitated at the front door, before finally knocking. "Hello? It's Eleanor." She asked. Moments passed, still nothing. She knocked again and waited a few more minutes and yet again nothing. The thought of to try and open the door crossed her mind, but that'd be pretty rude. She rubbed her hands together before she headed back down the steps, and back to her car. Eleanor didn't get back into the driver's seat, she just leaned against the passenger door. It was a farm, truthfully she wouldn't be surprised if the owners were out and about, especially in the afternoon. Whether here or in the nearby town. She picked at a lose thread on her t-shirt, a simple grey she'd paired with jeans and her usual boots. Eventually she straightened up and began walking. Maybe she could find someone to point her to find them, or at least tell her what she's supposed to do. There had to be at least one other stablehand or something, right? •~• First things first, Eleanor had no idea where she was going. She picked a path and followed it, and soon ended up at some other building, she wasn't sure what it was for though. Looked like storage possibly, but she didn't dwell on it. She didn't fully go in unsure if it was a building a stranger should just walk into. But Eleanor poked her head in at least, just to see if anyone was in there. "Hello? Anyone here?" Eleanor called out, listening to her words echo slightly. Before she stepped back out and rubbed her forehead with a hand, brushing some of her hair out of her face. There had to be someone around here, there's no way there wasn't. Maybe everyone was just really busy, that'd make sense if they were hiring more stablehands. Eleanor reassured herself, and once more began walking. Edited at August 15, 2026 10:29 PM by HollowClaw

Justin was busy mucking out the stables, shovelling up the dirty straw into a wheelbarrow whilst the horses stood in the crossties. He huffed exhaustedly, wiping the beads of sweat off his forehead before continuing the work. Luckily, at this point, he was nearly finished. He finished the last stable, before finding the muck pile and tipping the wheelbarrow into the mess. Justin groaned softly, wanting to collapse into bed with how exhausted he was. Usually, his father would help him, but he selfishly went on a trip with his friends, leaving Justin on his own to manage the farm. It was hard enough already with the two of them, but on his own with extraordinarly hard. Once he finished putting the wheelbarrow back in its place, he unhooked one horse, who was named Hamish and a large Irish sporthorse and began leading him to the field. It was a nice warm day. but not extremely hot, so he knew they would be okay in the field for the day. After a while, Justin had finished placing the other horses in the same field, yawning tiredly. Justin was about to start on another job when he noticed a young girl wandering around aimlessly. Justin cocked his eyebrow in confusion before heading towards her direction. He thought he heard her say 'Eleanor', which then clicked in Justin's brain. The new stablehand. Justin eventually made his way toward her, covered in dirt and sweat. "Hey, Eleanor," he said with a bright smile. He was still out of breath from earlier, but he felt a lot better knowing there was someone here to help. "Sorry about that, it's just me here for the next few days," he apologised, knowing that she was probably walking around for a while before he noticed her. "Come on, we'll go inside," he ushered her toward the ranch, a small smile on his face. Justin was a friendly guy, and he could be quite awkward at times, but that's what made him unique and good at his jobs. The less interaction with a person the better. Eventually, he made his way with Eleanor to the ranch, unlocking the door with his keys that jingled on a carabiner hooked to his belt. He allowed Eleanor in first, before closing the door behind him and grabbing a towel. Justin wiped his face with the towel, ridding himself of most of the dirt. "Can I get you a drink or anything?" He asked politely, placing the towel in the washing basket for later. Justin felt relieved that there was someone finally here to speak to and someone to help.
