STARTING POSTS: Camp Description - A fairly large plot of dry land. The ground is primarily dry and cracking, with the few spots of moist(er) soil around the outskirts. Fallen tree trunks and broken down cars make for wonderful dens and a few self-dug holes as well. The camp is surrounded by dark pine trees that lead to the territory around, which also spans quite a large area where mule deer, rabbits, and songbirds are often prey items. . Posts - It is late autumn, nearly winter and the cool winds of frost and hints of snow have begun. Prey is scarce aside form the few skinny rabbits hunters have been able to bring back. They aren't necessarily starving, but its getting to a point where thats a possibility. The first few posts will take place during the morning of the first snowfall, ankle length snow is perfectly splayed across the camp and the sun is bright, despite the breath-showing weather. Canines are to be send out for hunting patrols to bring as much back, however little, soon and the rest of the pack needs to focus on staying warm and staying safe. |

Denali - 4 - F - Stray Head Hunter
The snow shouldn't have been as much as a surprise as it was. Denali had smelled it long before its flurries came fluttering down from the sky, sensed its arrival in both agrivation and slight denial. The hard season had officially arrived. Prey had been scarce this late already, now, with winter on its merry way, there'd be close to none and with the new... dogs, if you could even call them that, in the pack, how would the few hunters they had hunt enough food. It seemed nearly impossible. But the pack had survived time and time again, and they would again. Hopefully coming out stronger than before... Denali, wriggling out of the underground cover she called home, her paws hit the cool camp earth. Her breath could be seen in the cool air, even as she grumbled her way over to the sunning rocks at the edge of camp. Thankfully, the rocks had attracted enough sun that any snow that would have been there the previous night was melted, making for a nice viewpoint of the camps entirety. The she-dog had appeared to wake up early, because while the sun was already over the treeline, few pack members were up and moving. That'd need to change quickly if her hunters and her were to find food. |

Hawthorn - 6 - M - Stray Omega
The fur that the male held was barely enough to make it through the night. Hawthorn, like every night since he had been overruled from his Beta positioning had slept outside the dens. They were reserved for the higher ranking, of course. The canine had spent the frigid snowy night curled tightly into a ball, tail covering his muzzle in attempt to keep warm, his paws tucked tightly under him. With the light pawsteps of packmates arising, Hawthorn's eyes fluttered open, brows furrowing as he was nearly blinded by the already risen sun. Once his eyes adjusted however, he could clearly make out a few of the pack members forms. Denali sat studiously on the sunning rocks across camp, eyes finding his briefly before looking away indifferently. He stood, shaking his fur of the snow that had rested atop it when he had somehow fell alseep in this cold weather. Hawthorns stomach grumbled, but his head knew that any food hunted would be given to either the packs leader or pregnant females, as thankfully, no pups or yearlings had found their way into the pack just yet. It had been two days since Hawthorn had eaten a complete meal, and even that had been a scrawny squirrel. Other than that, scraps had been all he had recieved, the few slivers of meat on the bones the pack hadn't already taken off. He'd have to wait. |

Smoke - 3 - M - Stray - Hunter
Smoke awoke with a yawn in the back of a worn down car that he called his den, stretching lazily before getting up and trotting out into the open clearing. He shaked off some snow that had snuck through the holes in the car roof before spotting Denali-- coming up with the amazing idea to sneak up on her. He slumped into a crouching position before slowly making his way towards her, snow crunch subtly under his paws-- of course, not being very sneaky. As he got closer to Denali, he broke out into a sprint before attempting to pounce on her playfully only to completely miss and falling right on his face in the snow. Smoke rolled over onto his back to look up at Denali with an awkward yet goofy grin, wagging his tail a bit "hi Denali!.." he barked, eyes shining with a playful glint. |

Requim|F|Hunter Requim was laying down in an old car, the seats were still comfortable and the car locked in as much heat as it could. She woke up and stretched out, and when she walked out to see ankle-high snow she was very surprised. The snow crunched under her paws, but she didn't sink into it, she was made for the snow. Requim trotted up to Denali, the soft snow falling on her gray fur. Her eyes were half closed because she was still tired. "Hey, Denali!" Requim woofed, "So much snow, are we going on a hunt anytime soon?" She looked around at the camp, it was pretty, but it would be hard to find any good prey. |

jake/m/leader jake walked out of a car he was in his dark fur was a mess he streached out his limbs he had slept in he was not to worried he had his bata just incase he knew she was well capable of taking care of the pack when he slept in but still he should just go around and check things out he first went to check on the pregnate females he pocked his head into the place where the pregnate females where staying "hi girls how are you guys?" he asked softly tiger/f/head warrior tiger walked out of the palce she was sleeping in she lighting hoped in the snow she walked over to the other warriors "alright guys have any of yall patrolled at all if not i want there to be 3 patrols set up one for now one for evening and one for dusk just to make sure our boarders are held up ok?" she said she was very serious when it came to patrolls and the boarder being held up lilly/f/mother lilly lifted her head as jake came in she smiled at her leader "hi jake " she greated softly he tail wagging slowly she was exspecting her frist litter of pups she had just moved into the mothers den not to long ago she was very sweet and shy no doubt would be a good mom |

Denali - 4 - F - Stray Head Hunter
The female was interupted from her sunbathing by the sudden cold of snow being dusted onto her pelt. The she-dog swivled around, stance tense as if to be ready to lunge at anything that dared to threaten her - only to see Smoke. The younger canine looked as though he had attempted to sneak up on her, only to earn himself a facefull of snow instead. Denali scoffed softly, shaking her head and her coat of the snow that had caught onto it. His gaze was targeted to hers as he lay on his back. She simply looked down at him for a moment before moving to turn, eyes back on surveying the rest of camp. She nodded her hello instead of speaking, eyes sharp. Then came along Requim and Denali's hope for a quiet start to the morning was further decipating. But alas, the hunters inquiry seemed reasonable enough. Denali had been planning to head out on a hunt anyways. The she-dog's head turned to face the other female, nodding once before responding, "I was planning to get a move on as soon as you two joined me. I've planned a hunting patrol near the west border, as the warriors had been a bit of prey over there more than anywhere. We can try there, and if we don't catch anything then..." She sucked in a breath, letting it out slowly. "We'll either need to try somewhere else or continue on with surviving another day without food." |

Smoke - 3 - M - Stray - Hunter
Smoke stood and shook off the snow covering his fluffy pelt, shaking a bit of snow onto the other two wolves-- he gave an apologetic look once he realised that the snow had gotten onto them, grinning sheepishly "sorry!.." He woofed, lowering his head a bit Smoke listened intently to the plan, nodding along every once in awhile to show that he was still listening. Once Denali finished speaking his tag started to wag a bit, "Lets go! I bet we will find something since it's the early morning!" He yipped, trotting around in circles restlessly. |

Requim|F|Hunter Requim shook the snow off her thick, gray fur. "It's fine, Smoke" She sneered, looking down at the younger dog. Requim turned back towards Denali, "Ah, yes." She said, "We'd better get going." She padded towards the camp exit, snow crunching beneath her paws. She paused and turned over her shoulder, "You coming?" She woofed, sitting down in the soft, white, and cold snow. Requim looked over to where Juno lay, the blue merle female was the healer, and Juno might need some herbs. "Hey, Juno!" She called across the clearing, "Hello, Requim." Juno woofed back. Requim stretched her long legs and began walking towards the camp exit. |
