As Layne stood there in the hallway, fidgeting with his backpack. The students didn't seem to come back at all and he simply just shook his head. His eyes flicked toward the ground after a moment or two. Another seemed to ask if he was lost but before Layne could really answer, another student pulled them away.

He ran one hand through his hair, blowing a soft breath and shaking his head. Figured.

Finally, reluctantly, Layne just trailed after the other students. If it wasn't his actual class, he figured somebody would say something at least and help him figure out where to actually go. Maybe. The air was warm, encased him like a wash of steam. It clung to his feathers, a stark contrast to the dry air before-hand. If anything, the air felt heavy too.

Layne was silent and took a seat, swiveling the chair around to rest his arms over the back of the chair and let his wings just hang behind him, loosely folded.
