As Kai made his way down the stairs in his pjs, she had to surpress a laugh. She noted the disapproving looks of some of her packmates, but Nox thought it was harmless. If Kai was late because he didn't get dressed, that was his problem. Or, maybe this human school didn't care what they wore. She decided that she would have to investigate the matter, as comfort was always a priority.

"I think the pjs suit the occasion," she teased. She took another piece of bacon and bit down, enjoying the texture. "At the very least, you'll stand out."

Rex was hoping that Nyko wouldn't notice, but of course he did. He nodded, and quickly took a too-big bite of egg to accomplish the task at hand. He didn't particularly like being told what to do, especially since he was already going to do it anyway, but he didn't say anything. As soon as he finished chewing, he raced upstairs past Kai, barely even noticing him as he passed. He was too focused on his mission.

Kai finished his breakfast before heading upstairs and getting dressed. He then combed his hair to get any knots out but then let it fall how it wanted causing part of it to fall over his eyes. He would try his best to keep his head down today and every day as to not get in trouble at school. He took the meds the previous healer had made him from natural herbs like lavender and chamomile. It help to calm his nerves and keep him from feeling restless through the day. He threw on his shoes before slinging his bag over one shoulder and heading back down stairs.

Nyko looked around and quickly counted heads. "That's everyone" he said before guiding the pups towards the door. "We can run to edge of town but before you break the tree line make sure you shift back. Preferably 50feet or so from the edge of the forest so you aren't seen." He then held the door open for everyone to file out before closing the door behind him. He decided he would offer the pups a ride on his back if they want to run otherwise he would just walk with them. He didnt mind walking. It didnt get too tiring. The school was only about 5 miles from the pack house which doesnt sound like a whole lot but with them being separated by a dense forest it seems a lot farther.

Kai walked out the pack house and immediately shifted. He padded around in circles til everyone else shifted then took off running with the pack falling into position towards the front but not in the lead.

Nyko shifted and waited for the pups to climb on his back then gave a yip for the pack to start running. He fell at the back like usual to make sure no one fell behind. It didnt take long before they were near the edge of the forest. Nyko sat causing the kids to slide off his back before shifting to his human form. He then motioned for the pups to start walking and walked behind them the rest of the way to school and to their classes.

Kai never tried to cause any trouble. Trouble just always seemed to find him. He was always antsy and worse now due to the fire. As if him thinking about the fire was a reminder, nykos side began to sting. The burn on his side hadn't been healing too nicely and he winced from the pain for a second before quickly hiding it not wanting to raise concern in his pack. He couldnt show weakness. Not now. Not when they had been through so much and he needed to be strong for them.

Once Kai got close to the edge of the forest he shifted back. He then ran a hand through his hair causing it to shift and cover both his eyes. He then adjusted and moved his hair til it was covering just one before walking out of the forest. He paused at nykos words for a second before continuing on towards the school. He would try his best to keep his head down today and all the other days til he could possibly convince nyko to just let him dtop out though Kai was sure he's more likely to be expelled then be allowed to drop out.
