A sleek brown coat was the best image that a Queen could show the rest of her pride and, heaven forbid, another pack what it truly meant to be a pride-cat. Her ear flicked lightly at the thought of the other lawless pride. Accepting the awful ruins of what once had been humans? Distasteful and disrespectful to Mother Nature.

The feline lifted to her paws again, scanning the area. Berry, that passed by her on his way to his usual spot in the trees. Puffball ... who did whatever he did. Briefly, she spotted Mushroom in the trees as well, but felt no need to comment on it.

Fawn took in a deep breath and let it out again. She would have to organize patrols, some of the hunting could be done by herself and others, figure out where they could help aid Mother Nature... and finally take note of what they had. Relatively solid plans for the day.

The pale male drifted his golden eyes toward the medic with a faint noise--almost a mix between a purr and some sort of chirp. A usual noise that the Liege made to let the medic know he was nearby and the general idea of where he was.

His soft paw steps were hardly audible against the wooden floor as Orphaeus moved to lightly brush his tail along Five Blind's side. "Good morning," he murmured softly. "Did you sleep well?" As he spoke, his eyes drifted up to spot the Queen slipping out from her spot and into the main area.

As the soft touch of a tail brushed against his side, Five Blind turned his head to greet the cat who approached him. He recognized the scent belonging to Orphaeus, a fellow feline who often kept him company. Despite being blind, Five Blind was able to identify Orphaeus by his distinct scent, which he had grown accustomed to over time.

"Ah, Orphaeus," Five Blind uttered softly, barely audible enough for Orphaeus to hear. He was grateful for the presence of another cat, which helped him feel less alone in his blindness.

As he stood there, Five Blind realized that more cats were awakening and could smell their different scents. He took a step back, making sure he didn't bump into anyone, and patted the ground with his paw to get a sense of his surroundings. He could hear the soft rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of birds, which helped him form an image of the world around him.

Five Blind started to trot away, saying "Stroll" as he went. He wanted to invite others who needed fresh air, but he was afraid that more than two cats might want to join him. He didn't want to be rude, but he also didn't want to be overwhelmed by the presence of too many cats.

The question he had posed went unanswered but he couldn't blame the other male. Life was hard but it was harder with certain things that came in like a wrecking ball. Or a thief in the night.

Instead, the other feline gave a simple statement, a short word, and Orphaeus leapt after him. His paw pads tapping lightly against the wooden floor that slowly became more dirt and then just dirt and grass.

His pawsteps might have been enough to hear, but on the off-chance they weren't, Orphaeus let out little noises every so often. It was more of a chirp than anything else, just to let the other know he was still there. The liege kept his nose to the air and to the ground as well, taking in the different scents.

He had two targets in his mind. Find food for the morning and, on the off-chance, figure out if any of the Aurora Pride had been ... overstepping their boundaries.

Hearing the soft tap of following paw steps, Five Blind knew that he was not alone. He lifted his head to take a sniff at the air, trying to identify the source of the sound. As he took a deep breath, he could smell the fresh scent of the grass and the trees around him. It was a beautiful day, and he was enjoying the peaceful company of nature. Upon hearing Oprhaeus chirping noises, Five Blind became even more aware of his surroundings. He knew that the tom was nearby, and it made him smile. He could sense the presence of another being, and it was comforting to know he was not alone.

As he walked, Five Blind took his time, enjoying the feel of the sun on his fur and the sound of the leaves rustling under his paws. He curled his tail that swayed in the air as he nosed around in some dry leaves, moving here and there--as well as almost tripping over some twigs. He was exploring his surroundings, taking in all the smells and sounds of the forest. He was careful not to go too far from his Oprhaeus, as he didn't want to get lost. But he couldn't resist the temptation to explore the area around him.

Despite being blind, Five Blind was unafraid of the world around him. He trusted his instincts and his senses, and he knew that he was capable of navigating the forest on his own.

Patiently, the feline walked alongside the other male. It was interesting to the liege how well he could move around, completely unbothered and unobstructed by many things. He could walk confidently and sometimes, the liege felt like he couldn't even walk with his eyes open. Sometimes, he swore up and down that he had four left paws.

Still, he watched more or less with some sort of amazement as Five Blind made his way through the undergrowth with ease. Orphaeus kept his subtle chirping as a way for the other male to know full well where he was.

"It's a beautiful day," Orphaeus finally broke the silence. "It's nice and warm."

Fawn's dual colored eyes flicked back and forth as the rest of the pride began to slowly wake up. As she finished with preening her own soft brown coat, the queen rose to her feet and shook her fur.

"Berry," her voice was smooth and lifted, as she sauntered slowly toward the male. "I think it's about time we send some cats out to patrol. We don't want any news of those ... traitors to Mother Nature around here."

Heaven forbid they pollute their land! Their land and betray the great being that gave them everything.

"The less we see of them," she flicked her tail. "The better."
