He looked like he was about to faint or something so she covered the ground around him in soft grass just to be nice. "Hey calm down, they were right because most of the time if someone finds out you have a gift of sometype you wind up dead. To put it easy." she said.

A small group, eh? So that's where those two came from. The boy avoided his gaze, seeming disturbed by this revalation. He shifted his focus over to Plant Girl - Mika. So there were many Gifted on the run at the same time. They must have really cracked down on their populations recently. A cold shadow crossed his face. Somehow, the fact that his home wasn't the only one to be destroyed didn't comfort him. It only fueled his hatred for the humans.
Callio slithered down to the ground, drawing himself up to his full height. "Wouldn't mind telling me where y'all are headed hm?" It was more of a command than a request, though he wasn't sure how cooperative the two would be. He moved closer. Edited at February 26, 2022 11:51 PM by Finnick

Atri glared at Mika angrily, his body fuming. Thick trails of smoke flowed off different parts of his body. Once the smoke cleared there laid a empty cardboard box. The flaps hung defeated like.

Atri suddenly changed back, desperately reaching for Mika. "Wait no! Dont go-!" He looked up at her, great worry and sadness in his eyes. The look was gone almost instantly as he quickly got up, let out a half cough to clear his throat and went about dusting himself off. He ran his fingers through his hair as he straightened up. "East, then." He responded to her vague answer impatiently. "Where the tolerance laws have been passed. Ain't nothing for you down west." Callio approached the box and stared down at it with mild curiosity. He was tempted to knock it over, or perhaps crush it with his tail, just to see what would happen to the boy, or if the box itself would react. But he refrained from this. "Probably." He didn't have time for this. Groups were always slow, and this strange temper tantrum wasn't promising. He considered going off on his own again. He could make better time with his eyes closed.
The boy turned back soon enough, when faced with the prospect of being left alone. Hah. Figures. He wondered how many of these kids had ever been on their own, vaguely registering that the boy may have lived among humans for a while. Now that was a strange thought, a Gifted living in normal society. He was so used to being treated like an otherworldly monster, it was weird to think of other Gifteds blending in with the humans for years, decades even.
