| Jun yeahh, people shouldn't be assuming either way. I have two coworkers who are straight and dating, and the guy acts like the stereotypical gay man. Everyone told the girl to leave him before she got hurt, and she came to me crying one day asking if I also thought he was gay. I had told her not to worry about what they said, and they've been dating for over a year now. People need to stop pushing their opinions on others :/ |

| Apo, Wise words. Bug, Yeah it's so rude when people do that. I have verbal and motor tics and I genuinely don't mean to be 'disruptive' like people say, and when people tell me to shut up it hurts my feelings. Tourette's is real and it's so frustrating when people are so rude about it. |

| @Bug Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. They also might be wondering about my eye-contact and tendency to take things too literally LOL. People think I'm gay because of my 'voice' or whatever. They aren't wrong, but it's still weird to me that people assume one way because of how you look or act. |

| I think habits can reveal a lot about someone in terms of autism. My brother has autism and also a close family friends. For example one cannot form habits and one cannot change any habits he's had set since like the 60s |

| Sunny I've had people call me weird and tell me to stop blinking so much... when I tell them it's an anxiety tic and pointing it out makes it worse I get told that anxiety tics aren't real and that either I have the touretts (I can't spell it) or that I made it up :< |

| i think speech patterns are the biggest teller i think. sometimes its just a vibe though, like syncing frequencies or something haha. im autistic and have an assistance dog, so sometimes i just straight up get random (usually older men) coming up to me asking what did it for me, and that it was the measles jab that gave them their tism LOL |

| I definitely van't control my face. Do they do the one thing where they close one eye and move their lip the one way. I do that. I think its just the mannerisms. |

| Jun I've heard people relate it to "gaydar" as well, but I think the autism one might have more basis in facial features while gaydar focuses more on how someone dresses. Both deal with mannerisms, of course. |

| My friends don't think I have autism, they just think I have ADHD, even though I was diagnosed with both. My tics are also apparent and I've had people yell at me to shut up. |
