Biography
I am Leon Knightwood. My family is in charge of the Rio de Janeiro Institute. More simply called the Rio Institute. I live there with my parents, my parabatai, Alegandra, and my two younger sisters who are twins.
Now, let me tell you a story about determination. A story about true friendship, true commitment, true parabatai.
Ally and I were only five. Our first Mark was still fresh on our skin. Two children, playing harmlessly in the golden glow of the setting sun. I was Jonathan Shadowhunter, sent out into the world to create our mighty race. But my mother called. I was forced to say farewell to Ally, but promised I would return.
My mother needed me to help with dishes. Once I was freed, I ran back to where I had left Ally, but she was gone. I searched the entire Institute, but she was nowhere to be found. Five years go by without any sign of my best friend. Most had given up. But I still looked for any clues. I had a wall in my room covered in pictures of her, pictures of all of the places she liked to go, pictures of everywhere she had gone. But I had no luck.
As the Dark War took hold of the Downworld, I was forced to forget Ally for a few months while our family was thrown into hiding. I was ten years old, and without a friend.
But then the war ended. And I got a clue. A faerie came to me. I did not trust him, but I knew he was incapable of lying. He told me that Alegandra, my childhood friend, my best friend, my ONLY friend, was alive.
I took the message to my parents, begging them to tell the Clave, but they did not. They told me she was gone. But I knew she wasn't.
Another few years went by, and my search continued. Then I got another message from the mystery faerie. This time, the message told me who had her. A group of Downworlders had held her captive, for so many years. I was enraged. I was furious. I was worried. I wanted to get Ally out of there as fast as was possible.
Several years later, I got my way. The faerie showed up at the Rio Institute doorstep with Ally limp and unconscious in his arms. Without a thank you or a single word to the faerie I took Ally and hugged her tight, muttering my thanks to the Angel. Ally woke a few days later, and it didn't take long for her to remember everything around her. She was broken for a long time, but she is starting to heal. And now we are parabatai.

| Personality
Leon runs his pack much differently than others. While other Alphas use force and fear to dominate their packs, Leon uses kindness and respect. He is a soft soul with too much love to give, though he will fight for what he believes with all the ferocity of a pride of lions. He is named for his gold pelt which resembles the color of a lion. He is also large in size.
Leon rules his pack with love and respect for his members.
