They fall in step so easily. For every paw Inkwell moves forward, Star moves the same just seconds later. He loves it when they get alone time like this. Don't get him wrong! He loves the pups and his packmates dearly. But to just take a stroll with Star, the excitable wolf prattling on about whatever nonsense came to his mind first... it was heaven. Inkwell pushed his muzzle into his mate's shoulder and stopped walking. Star stopped and cocked his head to the side, curious and alert. Inkwell had his full attention. They stared each other down for a few moments before Inkwell licked a stripe up the side of Star's face and darted off into the underbrush. Star was stunned for a minute, 'Did he just', before bursting into action and diving in after his mate. Let the game begin!
