| Amygdala, I just about lost my mind ahah. It wasn't as bad as it could've been for me, had four years where I learned military stuff, so the basics they wanted us to know I already knew, but I only knew Army stuff so a few things were different and they definitely operate differently so there was still more to learn. Thank you!! This first flight I did was cancelled last night, then delayed twice before I finally got to board. Thankfully this second one has no delays! I just gotta wait another hour and a half and I'm good to board :D |

| Vox Damn if you survived those 2 weeks i am pretty sure you can survive anything else XD Military training seems really harsh at first...i hope it got easier once you settled in Enjoy the free time you have with your family. Hipefully your flight gets there with no problems and as soon as possible |

| Vox- Whoops disappeared for a second there. Ha yeah, sounds like your family is pretty big! Especially with what you just said about your grandma and all that sounds cool and real exciting man! Also, god damn. I think I'd know a thing or two about military basic training (being in multiple ROTC-like programs and having researched it/talked to service members), but yeah sounds even worse due to COVID. I assume it was the first year of COVID, based on what you said? Sounds pretty hard and tough though, hat off to you (even though they dont do that in the military actually lmao). |

| Amygdala, Oh yeah, especially because those first two weeks they were trying to desensitize us, strip us down from being a civilian into a sailor, which was a lot of yelling, studying, getting shots and following strict rules with everything we did. The cherry on top was the fact that we were actually quarantined before any of that, due to Covid. Spent 2 weeks in one room, only left to get food and it was all bagged meals. The sandwich was almost always soggy and nothing else really tasted good in the bags. We got stuck in artificial light, following lines of tape on the floor to adhere to the Covid procedures, and we couldn't do anything but study books and get quizzed on everything They'll be stoked! | Vox Oof it had to be so hard the first couple of weeks when you first joined...it's very nice you can finally visit some of your familly. I am sure they will be so happy when they see you...i bet they won't let you leave again XD |

| Amygdala, It's hard, especially because I was so used to being involved with them, visiting them, etc. There's no one even close to where I stay, so I can only really go visit when the ship has a period of time where everyone can take leave. I miss my dog most of all, she was just 2 when I joined and she's 5 now D: I know she's gonna freak out when she sees me, and will likely never leave my side while I'm home lol |
