Name: Chaska meaning 'First Born Son'

Chaska was always a beautiful pup, even from birth.
Beauty alone, however, can protect no one. His parents agreed to be rid of him as soon as they could, for he was too sickly and weak to waste their food on such a pup like himself. They did not wish to name him either, for fear of growing too attached to the pup.
His father suggested leaving him to die in the forest, giving another animal a chance to live by feeding from the young pup. His mother, however, disagreed. She suggested giving him to another pack, see if they could raise him healthy and strong. His parents argued and fought for days until his mother took matters into her own paws.
She brought him to the outside of a den, far from their own. She placed him down, licked his cheek and fled, fearing that the pack she left him at would think she was a threat.
He yelped and squirmed until a wolf emerged from a the inside of the den. A wolf, dark as night but eyes the brightest green known to any wolf. She was Vision, the Alpha Female to the pack, Orlando. She brought the pup to her mate, Onyx and they both decided to raise him.
The pair had not yet had a surviving litter, as their own died at birth as the cold was too bitter in this long winter. He would be the first pup they would raise. This led to the young pup being named Chaska, meaning 'First Born Son'.
Years later, after fathering many pups of his own, Chaska did not feel happy. He was aging and wanted a mate, a permanent mate to grow old with. However pups he may have, he did not feel attached to any. He did not feel like a true father. He has watched as his own father figure, Onyx and mother figure Vision, raise their own pups and watch them leave to start their own pack. He had seen none, for he bred with females who never wanted his companionship, but just the pups he could produce with them.
Whilst trotting through his territory in the dark, vast woods, he heard a strange noise. The sound of racing paws was travelling towards him and before he could react, THUMP!
A beautiful young, pale female smacked straight into him. She looked flustered and very frightened. She was shaking from head to paw. Chaska, with his calm manner and beautiful coat, seemed to (eventually) calm down the young female.
She had been hunting and got caught up in a different territory and panicked and began to run when she fell straight into Chaska. Chaska, not being a completely essential part of his own pack, asked if she would like his company whilst she finds her way back to her own den and pack. She agrees and they begin to walk.
Whilst walking they make small talk, he learns her name is Casey and she is from the pack 'blood demons'. He notices her swollen belly and ponders on it, but doesn't ask. Soon they arrive at her den and exchange sweet goodbyes, but not before arranging to meet again. Whilst wondering home, Chaska thinks to himself that maybe, just maybe, she is True Mate.
