“Your parents named you ‘tree’?” Kuro laughed. Her blue eyes glittered with amusement. “You don’t look like one. Trees are greener.”
“How should I know?” he snorted. “Maybe my parents liked trees.” He walked along the border beside the rogue, neither of them crossing the scent marks.
“Or maybe they lost inspiration for names after naming your brothers.” She glanced teasingly at him. “Say, what are you going to tell them? About me?”
“Uh.” He averted his gaze. “I don’t know. They won’t take it well, that’s for sure. They’ve pinned their hopes on me fighting the Alpha for his position, because my brothers don’t want to-“
“Rogue!” a voice snarled. “Get away from the border!”
“Goddess,” Kuro growled, darting away. She turned to glare at Itsuki’s packmates from five tail-lengths away from the border. “Happy?”
The Beta curled his lip at her, then fixed his son with a stern glare. “What do you think you’re doing with a rogue?” he snapped. “Come on, we’re going back.” Without giving Itsuki a chance to speak, he steered his son away into the forest, leaving Kuro glaring after them.

‘Psst. Itsuki!”
He spun around. That voice- it couldnÂ’t be-
“Kuro?”
A pair of cobalt eyes stared out at him from the shadow of a bush. “Yeah.” She slid out. She was full grown now, just like him, her black fur smooth and glossy. She’d clearly been taking care of herself. “Are you the Alpha yet?”
“No. I don’t intend to be. Not of this pack, anyway.” Kuro tilted her head questioningly. He fixed her with a piercing green stare. “Will you run away with me?”
“Eh?” She blinked a few times. “Wait, but your position-”
“It doesn’t matter. Will you leave this place with me?”
She stared at him for a moment, then, “Yes.”
He stepped over the border towards her, touching his nose to hers. A furious snarl sounded from somewhere behind him, but he didnÂ’t care. Kuro was there, and they were leaving for good. His old pack couldnÂ’t do anything about that now. Turning, he leveled a glance at the Beta, then raced away into the forest, the black she-wolf by his side.

| Personality
He's normally calm, unless someone messes with his pack, but remains rational, which is a contrast from Kuro's fierce personality. Also pretty protective over Kuro, though he refrains from doing anything that makes her feel that he thinks he has to protect her.

He isn't afraid to admit his mistakes, something that Kuro sighs at a lot, but also something that makes Asaka respect him. And she doesn't respect many wolves.
Preferences
He prefers to be alone, or in the company of 3 wolves, at most. He doesn't like being swarmed, so no one knows how he keeps his cool during pack meetings. Some say it's Kuro's presence. Maybe that's why he stepped down from being the Alpha after she left the pack?

He has taken a liking to jasmine flowers, as they remind him of Kuro(Her pelt has a faint jasmine scent clinging to it). He keeps one in his den, and brings back a fresh one every time it withers.

He often takes in wolves that are in need of help, but has to turn some away sometimes, if the dens are full. After stepping down from his position as the Alpha, he tries to convince Asaka to carry on giving help to those in need, but is often ignored. (Asaka thinks that the pack should focus on building itself before helping others, though she does make exceptions)
