Biography
venustus slipped through the grasses, the pale moon lighting up the whole meadow. She whined for her mother, but the sad sound was small and weak and it didn't even reach the near forest. She trembled in fear and worry. The smell of blood hung on the cold air, filling the meadow, and Venustus whimpered over and over again. Although she tried to resist it, it was obvious to her little but strong nose that the blood was that of her pack.
Ven stumbled to her feet and jumped, trying to see over the grass to the edge of the forest where the blood smell was coming from. While she was suspended about a foot in the air, heavy jaws clamped around the scruff of her neck. Overcome with fury she wriggled and growled, but it did no good- the animal holding her was big and had strong jaws.
Then it spoke, and relief overcame Venustus. It was just the beta male Dente. He was a good friend to Venustus's parents, the alphas.
"We must leave, Ven" he growled softly.
Venustus didn't question him. She hated the metallic and salty scent of blood that still lingered.
Dente tightened his gentle grip on her scruff and leapt away into the forest, past the bodies of the pack.
2 years later
Venustus soon learned that, when she had been a pup, her entire pack was killed by the so-called "Light Bringers." Since then a hatred was born inside her, and she put her rage into learning how to hunt and kill.
Dente was her wise teacher. And it was a good thing that when the pack was killed, Venustus had been old enough to not rely on milk. Dente and Ven lived in the darkness of the forest, plotting for the day that they would attack and destroy the pack of Light Bringers.
But, before they could, Dente passed away. He was an old wolf, and he had known he was going to die for a while. Venustus was grief-stricken.
She knew that she could not defeat her enemy's without backup. So she ventured out of the woods and into the plains, searching for a worthy mate. She found Ursae, also a lone wolf. They bonded immediately, even though ursae was 5 years older.
Together, they created the Venatrix Lunae pack, with their own pups and fellow lone Darkseekers.
They returned to the forest to prepare for battle, and they are still there, soon to attack.
