Biography
Dusk ducked into the den once Duana had finished laboring. This was the Alpha pair's 17th litter, all previous ones being unsuccessful when it came to breeding a pup with Melanism. A female would have been preferred, but at this point the pack master didn't even care what gender or rarity or talent score the pup was. Mela was all she needed.
"There ya go, girly.." Dusk knelt down. The tired mother wolf was old. Death script would be calling for her soon, her 15th birthday coming up. Same for her mate. Dusk was already looking at Mela pups she could buy to replace them. "Let's seem them."
The female uncurled herself around her litter, the pups drastically different. Surprisingly, none seemed to have the pelts coats that their parents hide underneath their defects.
The youngest was the first to catch her eyes. The pup had an uncommon pelt, a plan faded liver.
"A 16 rarity score, I'd say.." she muttered as he examined the pup. "Silver tongue as well, it seems. Maybe I could get away with 10 mushrooms for this guy."
The female tiredly watched she the master sorted through her pups. She's been through this since she was about two years old, old enough to bred. Those were nearly thirteen long years ago. She was used to it. Her mate, Zebediah, sat outside the den, keeping watch.
"A gunmetal!" Dusk patted the female's flank in praise as she held the second born in her other hand. "This'll get me a good chunk. He's a pretty little fella too. Good girl."
Dusk placed the pup back and paused for a moment. Duana opened her eyes and lifted her head in slight confusion at the sudden silence. She watched with her wide, dark blue eyes as the pack master cradled a jet black pup in her hands. Dusk's eyes glittered as she grinned and held the pup up to his mother's maw. "You did it, girly..."
Duana wanted to sob, showering the peacefully sleeping pup in licks as her tired body trembled with relief. Finally, she shall have no more litters. She shall not watch as stranger wolves take anymore of her pups away that've been kept in a small den away from her the moment they were born and deemed unworthy. She shall no longer watch as her lower rarity and useless pups were killed. She finally did her job. Provided the pack another pup with her and her mate's defect.
"This will be little Kaval.." Dusk gently placed the pup with his mother again, her began to close around him once more. Dusk quickly lifted the two non-defect pups away and called for Zeb to place them in the den for failed breedings. Kaval curled with his mother, blissfully unaware of what his life will become.

| Personality
Kaval is a spoiled and haughty boy. He was treated like a prince for being the heir to his father's throne. The pup had been the only one out of 17 litters and 50 unworthy pups. Thanks to this, he developed a rather rude and bossy demeanor. He grew with no siblings, so he wasn't used to sharing anything. He was always told of the many siblings he had that were not special thanks to their lack of the Melanism defect, which definitely boasts the wolf's ego.
Preferences
Kaval is definitely a Daddy's Right Hand Man. He strives to make his father proud and to do whatever he says. His father was great at everything. Kaval wanted to know all the skills that his father knew and use them for the benefit of the pack. Just like his dad. He's accepted the fact that he'll end up breeding with his mate for more Melanism pups as his parents did and plan on having a Mela pup much sooner than they did.
Special Skills
Though Kaval wants to be the "Jack of all Traits" like his father, he only masters in a small few. He was the most talented of his littermates, which was found out later as they grew. His most skilled talent seemed to be his socialism, being able to charm and sweet talk others well, like his "brother" will later learn to do.
