Biography
Splash's mother was the fiery and rebellious Cayenne, who descended from some really charismatic leaders and even without any inclination for leadership or team work she just managed to keep her image as one of the rulers of the forest.
Splash was then a timid pup - just one of the pups of many Cayene's litters - mostly dominated by other strong wolves in his pack. He was mostly overlooked and stayed with the pack, roaming somewhere in the background. But as the wolves were passing away one by one, there was no one to take the throne.
So Splash took care of the youngsters - he was simply the oldest of them and had more experience. The pack under his orders was neat and nice, but he was never a strong leader, he was more like a manager. He could make the pack work efficiently, bu he could not win the respect in the forest, especially considering he never bothered to care about it.
He seems to be thinking of himself as a regent rather than an alpha and that his rule is just a phase between true, competent leaders. He's probably happier this way - not bound by heavy duties, not failing the pack either. Mediocre, maybe, but he won't leave the forest and the pack in ruins.

Splash is rather clumsy and gentle wolf. He completely lacks the fire his mother had and is by no means fierce and wild. He could be a dog - somewhat lazy, he always tries the easiest ways.
Even so, he leads the pack quite well - sometimes you just need to take things easy. His simple plans work out surprisinly well.
He's not the one to be respected in the forest though, rather looked down upon. He does not care, he just does what he's supposed to do.
Preferences
His mother took him to gardens to steal some apples - he liked them quite a lot, but when he discovered pears, he stopped stealing apples.
