| DEFINITELY could be a tack issue. My horse was terrible amount moving until I switched out her saddle. Could also be a lack of warmup- I don’t know if it’s cold where you are but sometimes horses (especially older ones) get stiff in cold weather and have trouble moving. A lunge warmup helps my horse a lot! |

| heart geez thats on the trainer then if they know that their horse wont move unless they step in, theyre doing something wrong even a stubborn school pony should listen to you (even with the aid of a crop or spurs, and if the trainer won't let you use aids, despite knowing that might be the only thing that works, thats a problem) maybe you just need to find another trainer? |

| Stalker, my trainer is totally against spurs for her horses 😠|

| Sometimes the trainer/owner needs to step up and check for injury/unsoundness. Horses that don’t move might have a problem with their back, legs, or belly. Could be discomfort. Being a lesson student sucks because there’s really nothing you can do :( |
