I like to believe that I improved during this time in which I was gone. I worked on my anatomy a little and played around with brushes and tested all sorts of styles. Compared to my old styles, this one seems like the right amount of messy and clean to me
"January 07. Year XXXX.
I know that they will not believe me when and if I ever decide to tell them what I saw that day. It seemed so long ago yet I can remember it as clear as day. A blizzard that would drive me off course and leave me stranded in a sea of white and piercing coldness.
I was certain I would not make it. Alas, I would avoid fate's game that day, but not without help.
As quickly as the blizzard came, my savior would come. Though they seemed like a mere wolf, it would quickly hit me that they weren't. Their colors were too dark for their environment and their horns were so abnormal. Unseen. Most of all they could talk.
Their mouth did not move but I could hear them as if they were inside my mind. Though our conversations were short and brief, they had a kind soul. That much I could tell.
I never did get their name, but nevertheless they would stay by my side and guide my to a cavern to take shelter from the snowstorm. My gratitude was immesurable and no words could express the relief I felt at the damp hole.
The night would pass by quickly, and them as well. When I awoke, they were no where to be seen. Footsteps in the snow were nonexistant. They must've left in the middle of the storm.
The townspeople would call me insane if I told them my tale or a liar at best. Perhaps I can make a story out of this, some sort of fairy tale for my children.
Maybe, just maybe, we'll meet again. If not me, then my decendants who will carry the story.
