My Characters

Suzune Omura, the Courtesan is one of my main characters and deals with heavier topics. She grew up in unfortunate circumstances and allowed them to define her. She was cruel to survive and struggled to open her heart to others. Her status as a courtesan confined her world she never left. She's misunderstood and a lonely creature. She latched onto Takeda, the Samurai, the man who decided Suzune's fate for her. He ended up leaving her at a teahouse in the red-light district and believed that she'd have a better life there than following Takeda and his lord's army around. When Takeda returned to Suzune over a decade later, she loathed him while Takeda sought to make amends. Taking advantage of him, Suzune forced him to commit his life to her, that way she could take out years of frustration on him for the rest of Takeda's life. Takeda willingly puts up with it with the belief that this would finally allow him to atone for his sins. Together, they are simultaneously the source of each other's misery and salvation and are unable to leave each other for their respective reasons.

Esmeray de Agnor Valencia, the Vampire was originally an aristocrat who had everything she could ever want in the palm of her hands. She loved that lifestyle where she was able to trample on others with no repercussions at all. She's vain and sadistic. At the same time, Esmeray is a selfish and jealous character. She's had multiple lovers throughout her lifetimes and has been possessive of each one even though Esmeray herself is a free spirit. One of her first lovers was a vampire who grew fascinated by her indifference towards her own kind. Esmeray desperately wanted the powers that came with immortality, but he did not wish to take on an immortal lover. Instead, countless years of being alive made him crave the sweet release of death and it was an easy exchange for Esmeray -- his death for an undying body.
