Cal: I once rescued a dog and almost drowned!

Tyler: I am the indirect cause of an indeterminate number of deaths linked to the rescue of several highly agressive and dangerous predatorial creatures, up to and including tigers. He just was trying to do a story he knew would make the others laugh the poor thing-

Tyler has absolutely no idea how to cheer people up. He thought Cal was using the story to better describe some of his skills and mentality when focused on something worthwhile.

Pffft Tyler nooo! He was ten at the time and thought Tyler would like the story of the dog with it. He's done a much worse for stealing stuff if Tyler is intresed in that-

Exactly! Tyler thought Cal was implying 'See what I did at 10? Think of how much better I would be now.'

Hmmmm it seems like everyone is having angstsyndrom now so might as well get the angst out of the way!

Hahahahaha- You really think that the angst is gonna die down? That the angst is just gonna, like, leave once we get this round out of the way? Yeah, nah... It's more likely that it's gonna keep building up for awhile... This is just the foundation angst so that everyone gets a light taste.
