So, my trail ride a couple days ago was pretty uneventful... except for one small black and white creature...
We were riding along the trail and Ginger's just pointing at nothing but its actually something for once XD
We tell her no, we call her, she does not listen.
Then she's running from a black and white creature with the thickest tail I've ever seen XD
Turns out Ginger remembers the first time she got sprayed and is now afraid of skunks... so afraid that she'll run away from them. Its a beautiful sight.
But lets talk about last night.
We have a cat and dog door so our animals can get in and out whenever they want. But since Smilla (AKA Devil Cat) brought three mice in the house in the last two weeks we've been closing those doors at night.
Now; I'm a very light sleeper and it takes me a very long time to fall asleep, and the constant meowing of my cat is not very helpful; so I get out of bed to figure out what she's meowing about (I usually recognize her "I have a gift for you" voice but as I was tired I didn't get the message till she drops the mouse and starts chasing it in the dark. BECAUSE SHE LET IT LIVE FOR WHATEVER REASON.
Now, please note that all the pet doors were closed, so that mouse had been living in our house for who knows how long. I blame Devil Cat for introducing it to warmth and then not killing it like a normal cat would do.
Now, continuing with the mouse in the house; I turn on all the lights (my mom continues to sleep) and finally trap it in our guest room. This is at 2:00 AM mind you (I start sleeping at midnight for whatever reason).
I bring Smilla in the room with me so she can catch the mouse, but besides chasing after it whenever its in plain sight, she walkes to the door and wants to be let out.
So I'm left having to chase this mouse in my sleep deprived state sweating because its leading me in circles while my cat just sits there watching (Stuff like that is why I call her Devil Cat).
Turns out Ginger was sleeping in that room to, and since the light was on and I was in there she though why not have the human let me out to go pee.
So now I have two pets wanting out and a mouse wanting me to leave it alone in the middle of the night.
Not to my surprise the mouse makes a break for the crack under the door, but as Devil Cat has brought gifts before I was prepared and blocked that part off. But guess what?
Ginger and Smilla -who were both sitting right there- completly ignore the mouse underneath their paws and look up at me, waiting for me to open the door.
Great.
In the end I caught the mouse, woke up my mom so she could open the doors and let it outside without any casualties.
This is the second time this month Devil Cat brought a mouse in and made me do the rest of the work.
My night of terrible sleep doesn't end there though; oh no.
We have a mouse in the walls/attic. It usually doesn't do anything, but that night it decides to start digging/scratching whatever is around it next to my bed. I can't get it to stop.
So I go into our other guest room to sleep.
I still heard it.
I took a video recording of the scratching and saw the time on my phone. 5:00 Fucking AM.
I had to wake up at eight for another tail ride.
