Ah, yea. I don't think I've ever been stepped on for long, so I wouldn't know the pain. If you push them away, they usually move. |

I got stepped on for about five minutes. And I don't think I would have moved even if I wanted to, because some instinct told me not to move my foot. My instincts have not failed me yet, so I shall listen to them. |

Shadow my instincts tell me to get whatever is hurting me away... so besides getting myself away by trying to pull my foot out from under, I push at the horse (not like a hitting push, more pressing my hands against its side and then it usually realizes, 'oh, human doesn't like my foot there, I guess I'll move') |

Make sense. I've learned not to trust my instincts completely without thought - if one turns to bite me, my first instinct is to step backwards. But I know that's not logical, as I don't want the horse to think that they can get away with such behavior, so I stand there, and worst comes to worst I smack them lightly on the neck. |
