Doom hmmm I do love Jaro, but I agree, she does fall a little into the generic fantasy female protagonist trope - not very much, I but enough that some editing would be good? The solution to the whole " I'm not like other girls" thing is definitely to giver her some friends, make her a bit social and well-liked. Although it completely makes sense in Jaro's context, she's a chosen one - just make sure she's human and doesn't save the day all the time, which I think you're doing a good job of. |

yeah- Like I want her to be strong- but not the type of strong where that's her only personality trait XD
What I notice is that many "Strong" girls aren't in touch with their emotions and don't want to accept things about themselves/their past in books? like I'm thinking Celaena or however, you write her name in Throne of Glass (A series I liked for a short amount of time) and a few others I can't name on the top of my head...
My goal is to really just make all my characters human- but is HarD |
