Gem Mother aha, I only really got into Harry Potter this year, but I think I'm a bit more of a Star Wars person
ok- sO basically yesterday (Friday, note from me in the future at 2.55pm Saturday)) a few friends and I had a choice of small chocolate. I, being allergic to peanuts, just allergic mind you (though the immunologist I saw years ago said my allergy would get worse with time), took a mars bar. My friend took a snickers.
I may have then taken his snickers and replaced it with my mars bar, laughed maniacally and run away. He caught up to me as I opened it and bit off half (it was a small snickers by the way). It tasted terrible, but I swallowed it because I'm stupid .-.
I gave the other half to one of my other friends and then the sYmPtOmS bEgAn wOo- basically just a sore throat and then my stomach DiEd a little bit after. About an hour after, I went to the clinic to get a phenergan, because that's always what I've taken in the past. 10mg did nothing, so they gave me another 15mg.
Still nothing. My throat had been getting better, but then I started wheezing and I got a rash on my back and neck so they called in this lady. She stabbed me with an EpiPen and rang the ambulance. My leg had a mild seizure and wouldn't stop shaking and for some reason I wasn't allowed to walk so I was wheeled into the ambulance. The paramedics were nice though, we had a conversation about guitars and violins and pianos :0
Mum was waiting at the hospital for me, and basically we just had to stay there for four hours to make sure the symptoms didn't come back. And I'm anaphylactic now-
also also also also- I may have told everyone that I ate a mars bar and not a snickers so I feel kinda bad but mum would've killed me if she knew I ate half a snickers. I like mars bars, though, and now I can't eat them because I blamed them for the snickers' crime. It was a tag team effort between the snickers and I, honestly. I'll just have to make my own mars bars. One of the paramedics said to me, "It's a sad day, the last day of the mars bars" :'D
And I also kinda feel bad because the guy who gave my friends and me the chocolates feels really bad because I got sick (or nearly died, as mum put it), so I need to tell him not to feel bad
Moral of the story: what did I learn? a) I'm anaphylactic b) EpiPens don't hurt, and neither do the blood tests where they stab your finger, and- c) peanuts are dIsGuStInG h-how do people like them, it's not even the fact that I'm allergic to them, they taste aWfUL in my opinion. If people like them, that's fine, but hjehjehsjajbada keep them away from me >.> Edited at September 18, 2020 11:59 PM by Crimson Skies

Tadpole :0 asdfghjkl that sounds awful and stressful and I'm so sorry that happened to you - wait wait wait you got to ride an ambulance? Did you get to speed through everybody and just plow through stop lights? Why does that sound so fun? (I mean, then again, I'm not sure how much fun you where having in all that chaos aha) aw, sacrificing mars bars is no fun >.< I mean, it's probably for the better anyway because so many chocolates are made in close proximity to nuts which isn't so great. hey, at least now that you know you're anaphylactic, you won't ever eat peanuts in large amounts because you know that it wouldn't end well? Then you could just skip the whole going to the hospital thing . also, you sound like you were so calm during this entire ordeal heh . and nope! The thought of epipens and blood tests are scary, but they're not so bad. I just don't like that you have to hold the epipen to your leg for ten seconds >.< and my leg had a seizure too! Then I went on a hyper spurt for no reason - . aha, yeah, peanuts have never been my favorite snack >.< my dad loves them and I just cannot asdfghjkl you aren't missing out tbh, except maybe baked goods with peanut butter that can be good >.< Edited at September 19, 2020 12:13 AM by Autumn Bound

in all the tests I've done with Harry Potter tests, I've gotten Ravenclaw for sometime being smart and quirky, Griffindor for being brave? I don't know XD and then hufflepuff for being loyal and a good friend... so either I'm a Ravenpuff or Raffinpuff XD
and Cousin it- that story sounds fun :/ When I broke my arm I was put in the ambulance- I don't think they had a siren on or sped through the city- but I was in one XD I remember that while I was in the ambulance my pain went away (no idea if they gave me something or not) and thought: why not pretend to be dead and just hold my breath and stare at the door? it didn't work- but it's a great memory now XD Edited at September 19, 2020 01:59 AM by Verdorben
