Also, I have fun news- so yep I ride horses and nope I'm not that good because I rode one day a week for about five months a year since I was eight at a kinda low-end barn - but when I moved to my new school, who has a riding program and a high-end barn, I started to actually learn stuff and now they think I'm half decent enough to show! So that's fun, even if I might nit show because it's pricy as heck

Well I can speak German and English fluently and I want to get better at Spanish- I can understand short bits and quite a few single words, but the grammar and forming a sentince while talking is just- hOw- Though a person who's fluent in Spanish says I have little to no accent in the few words that I know XD
Hessian isn't really a third language. Its a dialect with a few special words that are different from the normal German.

WoO- Sounds a bit like my riding experience XD Started when I was ten and never really got further than trot because the horses either didn't want to, couldn't, or bucked when I asked them to canter/gallop.

Doom At least you're trying ^^ My issue with the accent is rolling my r's. I always did in the back of my throat, instead of rolling it off my tongue in the roof of my mouth and just how *^* . yep aha For me, we actually did quite a lot - we cantered and went on hacks through the fields and I ended up jumping a 2'6" course on the little pony I rode (it was a big deal then aha), but I wasn't really taught how to keep the horse from falling in at the turn, how to leg yield, how to get the correct bends, how I should carry my hands depending in the situation, etc. so now I'm actually learning :')

Heh- I can roll my r's in the back of my throat and top of my mouth- HEH-
Sounds very much like my expieriance XD I got to jump once and after that the person though I was ready to ride a horse that hadn't been ridden for four years, so I had to start out with walking and then trotting for the first few months and then it started bucking when I asked for a canter. Didn't get past that with the horse because he went lame and then I got a different horse that did canter but was lame every other day pretty much. The rest of the horses I rode just never did anything. The first horse I learned to ride on was a senior and was ridden by a little kid so I couldn't ride him anymore either.
I really never learned much more than the basics. Though I do think I'm quite good at groundwork ^^

I loved my old barn, and was really close to the people there (the lady that owned the barn and that was my instructor just recently retired) I learned well there, but not enough. Also, I only rode ponies with wayyy too much sass, so that was fun. On the bright side, I learned how to not fall off! (Only took me seven times) I'm actually not experienced with groundwork, so if you have any tips, I'd love to learn! We have mandatory horsemanship classes at my new barn, so I'm pretty good with horse health, poultices, etc., but I have no idea how to lunge a horse, for example.

Spell that sounds fun! Barn work is oddly enjoyable work. It's how I would have paid for my lessons, but since corona, I haven't been able to, unfortunately.
