My mom decided today was the day we move all the big furnature that we want to bring to Germany to the garage... and ah... Well. Let me tell you.
So, we have an "Oma Schrank" which is like a big... English is failing me... it holds dishes and has a lot of storage space XD
We had to push that through half the house, which was fine, not very heavy, and then, we had to push our Butcher Block into the garage. Heh-
So- the butcher block is like a square table thats two/tree feet of pure wood on thin little legs, and ah- first off, we couldn't pick it up on a cloth, so we had to carefully drag/push it across the floor so it wouldn't scratch the tile. Then it wouldn't fit through the doorway to the room that opens into the garage. I had to remove that door (not really a door- my mom had my grandpa turn them into those saloon flappy door things) so the butcher block can fit through. Then it doesn't fit through the garage door, so we have to take that door off, and let me tell you- its not a simple hollow wood door- no- its thick and heavy and HeCk, but not as heavy as the block, which I'd say weighs twice as much as I do, and I'd say I'm a pretty average weight for my height.
SO- after taking the door off, we have to lift the block over one of those lips that are under doors to keep stray drifts of air or whatever from comming through. That was a struggle.
Finally we get the butcher block where we need it, and then we have to start putting all the doors back on.
Holding up a many pound door while your mother puts in many little screws isn't easy. But I did it and now I feel flopped.

The reason we're bringing everything in the garage is because my mom wants to Air BNB our house I guess, so we're making it a bit easier on the movers I guess...

Wait, she wants to fly the house almost across the country.

Is most likely not going to go well and cost a lot. :,)

But we're just bringing a few important items into the garage for the movers when the pick it all up, other than that the house and most of the furniture is staying...
