I don't know how to fix a human's punctured lung, so that did nothing to help me, but I'm still gonna do it!

Alright. In that case, it really depends on severity. A mild punctured lung can usually heal by itself, though there might be breathing tubes/extra oxygen involved during the process. More severe wounds require surgery. However, the only way Zadolt wouldn't have immediately noticed the injury is that it would have been more mild, which means it probably wouldn't require surgery, rather, just rest, which wouldn't get your desired chaos and drama. So- ah- Spaghetti- what about cats?
I was just watching my cat be a murderer and thought, what if Hotel was actually a small Animal project regiment thing? I've heard cats can be trained just like dogs, and cats can- you know- climb and stalk through tunnels and stuff better that dogos-

Hehheh, Zadolt may or may not reconize when he's hurt.. Mostly its put in the back of his mind. He ignores pain. But I'm gonna go with mild.

Hmm.... Maybe. We'll see. I might want to keep this more canine based, though, for simplicity.

a punctured lung could lead to a collaspe of a lung down the line and even a mild one requires immediate surgery to my knowledge! It's also a crap ton of recovery so if you want something long-term that's probably not the best choice.
I'd go with som sort of torn muscle/ligament/mild( or hairline) fracture of legs or something!! it'll be painful and may need correction in the long term but the character will still be able to move, albeit limited and painful at first

Just so you know, I believe a punctured lung takes about 6-8 weeks to fully heal. One cannot over exert themselves during that process, lest they wish to increase the damage done.
