Oh, also, if you're planning on frog being a Beta dog:
I wrote this for Spellbound -
.
Regiment Echo:
This regiment is trained to track. These dogs are tough, able to traverse any terrain in any weather, and - most importantly - have excellent noses. Dogs in these regiments will track fleeing humans, rebels, etc. These dogs never get lost, and serve as the living maps, or wayfinders in a hunt or mission.
These dogs are some of the only that have every been out of the city, but have their memory wiped after every trip outside the walls. (Maybe - I'm still working on it). These dogs include hounds, pointers, gundogs, retrievers, spaniels, setters, and other dogs with a good sense of smell and tracking skills. These dogs not only track, but also retrieve prey, and hunt smaller birds, rodents etc. if need be.
Regiment November
These dogs are hunters. They occasionally head out to the city along with the Echo dogs, as the two regiments work hand in hand. Again, they have no recollection of life outside the City, as their memory is wiped upon their return. These dogs can take down any prey or predator. Larger breeds, are a part of this regiment, including Elkhounds, Wolfhounds, Deerhounds, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Dogo Argentinos, Mountain Lion Cur, Plott Hounds, etc.
Regiment Victor:
These dogs are built for hunting, but not of large prey. Sighthounds fill all Victor slots. Lithe, fast, and agile, these dogs are built for chasing down anything and everything. This regiment also works with Echo, but rarely heads out of the City. Dogs in this regiment include Greyhounds, Saluki dogs, Borzoi, Whippets, etc.
Regiment Quebec:
This regiment is bred solely for the purpose of guarding. These dogs are large breeds with a protective nature. They never leave the City, and rarely even leave the Compound. Dogs in this regiment include Caucasian Shepherds, Boerboels, Bully Breeds, Moscow Watchdog, and many mastiff breeds.
Regiment Hotel:
These dogs are part of the BSDP (Beta Small Dog Project) or otherwise known as the Parvus project. Dogs like this are, of course, of a smaller stature. They are built for stealth and fitting into small spaces, particularly adept for spying work. Dogs in this regiment include terriers, Dachshunds, Yorkies, etc.
