I work directly in the lines (though on a different layer, of course). Color base layers first, then add cell shading/soft shading/lighting if I feel so inclined. I might have to record one day aha

working directly in the lines with my style doesn't work XD because I just use the blend with all the colores, they thin out on the edges and then the white of the backrground leaks through- or I accidentally make half of the fur sea through XD learned the hard way-

Ah, it makes sense! I just tend to find one step coloring without erasing more compatible with my lines style lineless is a different story, though. My last attempt at lineless involved drawing every single hecking hair aha
