For years, we've been trying to teach him away from his discrimatory views. He best learn quick, before he gets a fist in the face - actually, no. I hope he does get punched one day for saying something stupid. Oughta teach him something.

He just has mental issues where he just can't read emotion/tone of voice/facial expression. So there's times were he might certainly be joking, but his tone of voice doesn't match up.

As someone with severe anxiety disorder, that sounds nothing like what someone with anxiety would say lmao, especially so boldly. Sometimes it's just not worth the fight, if he doesn't want to hear it his mind won't be changed anytime soon. I know people like that and for the most part I just won't bring it up.

hmm... wish I knew how to help with that- I honestly just want to snap my fingers and make everyones life good/better/amazing, but, alas, that is impossible...

The anxiety kicks in when he's arguing - he's told us before that he's anxious that he won't be accepted, and hence feels that he needs to make us bend to his opinion as a result. I feel as though that might be only particular to him, though.

That's a good point. I rarely bring up sensitive topics with him, but he tends to make some sort of horrible joke about said topics on a weekly basis.

I reckon it's a more underdeveloped brain thing from being so premature, if anything, not his anxiety.
