Me either, I myself have a hourglass shape. And apparently it's supposed to be one of the more uncommon figures for women and girls. Not that there's anything wrong with having a OC or more with said figure, because you'd still be adding to variety in your selection of characters, at the end of the day.

i am petite and i love it but i don't really see it on many oc's, also because it's a figure associated with really short girls most of the time

The gal that's an hourglass is modeled slightly after me in a way, and I myself am hourglass shaped.

I actually had the habit of making female OCs with hourglass figures a while back, because I liked the shape so much. I still like it, but now I have various body shapes I like as well.

That's in second place for my favorite shape on women, or girls. I assume you mean the more bottom-heavy triangle, because it can be confused with inverted triangle.

i think a lot of people do a good of avoiding mary/gary personalities. i really see it in the appearance section, though I've certainly been guilty of it too. i like bringing out strong facial features to downplay being too pretty/handsome, like a large nose or crooked teeth.
