He is a brute when it comes to size, he stands tall at four feet and five inches. He weighs in at 214 kilos (around 475lbs) so he is definitely nothing to scoff at when it comes to size. He bears a muscular frame with broad shoulders and large, powerful paws. When he walks there is an aura of power and regalness that surrounds him. His limbs help him propel himself with such grace and power. His body of a golden-brown complexion, with it, looking lighter in certain lighting. You can see scars and wounds on his body, so one can infer that he is well acquainted with fights. When this male fights he fights with all he has and even if he's bloodied, battered and bruised he'll still find a way to stand. He has a large and luscious mane. The mane of a lion is their crowning glory. His mane is long and thick, with a mostly raven complexion. They say males with dark manes are attractive and are said to be catnip to the ladies. Why? His darker and fuller mane indicates that he's a healthy lion with plenty of testosterone, and serves as a warning to rivals; he won't go down without a fight. Even the browns and blondes on his hair are shades of dark brown, akin to that coffee brown. And the blonde strands are like that of wheat, so a wheaten blonde intertwined with the richness of the darker hues of brown. This male prides himself in his mane and does his best to make sure it is well-kept. He absolutely hates it when leaves and twigs get tangled up in his locks. He may be considered vain for wanting to look his best, but he just want his ladies to have something to feast their eyes upon. After all it would be rude for them to have to look at an ugly male all the time. This male has striking olive hued optics. They always seem to be flickering with amusement or holding some mischief in them. His eyes are highly expressive and are windows into his soul. When he's angry his eyes are stormy and cold, and his glare is one that can send chills down a lions spine. You can tell that this male is angry from the chilling aura that will radiate off of him and from the occasional twitch of his tail. When he's happy or in a good mood, one can see the light and twinkle in his eyes or if they soften when deal in with cubs or ones he loves. He was born of a King and Queen, and as such he was taught how he should act. He was told by his father: Never lower yourself to someone that isn't worthy only true opponents gain your submission. This male has a sense of pride, but it's not overly inflated, but more of he knows who he is and that he isn't changing for anyone(unless he wants to. You can forget making him be another way.) He has the heart of a warrior and is protective of what belongs to him. He will fight with everything he has for his Pride, and he damn well won't give up on them so they better not give up on him. His love is something that is unconditional. He only will take a few ladies into his heart and once they're stuck their then he becomes possessive of his ladies. He has an undeniable amount of charisma and charm about him as his words just flow so smoothly and elegantly. However, he will have one he favors above the rest, and when it comes to her he's extremely jealous and won't tolerate any male making advances on her(or any of his ladies for that matter.) His favored lioness could set fires to the world, kill someone, be a tyrannical or cold-hearted person, but he'd still love her and be by her side. He’d do anything for her as she’d have him wrapped around her paws. If she asked him to kill someone for her. He would do it. She needs help hiding a body? He's her partner-in-crime. This male has an aura of power that surrounds him. His mere presence demands respect, if not for his size then from his glare if he finds something displeasing or if someone is in trouble. If he gives an order or command then he expects it to be done: simple as that. If it is not done on time or to the best of one’s ability then he will be disappointed, but to flat out disobey him? Ah. No, that is like a slap to his face and insubordination irks his nerves. He is fair and just when it comes to dealing with insubordination. He would never harm a lioness physical, but he would reprimand her with the sternness and firmness a father would. However, if a male is the one screwing up then he views it as a challenge to his leadership and authority. So he'll be harsher in his words and may isolate and ground the male until he learns how to show some respect. He doesn't dare interfere when the Queen gives punishments, but if he is feeling generous then he may try to sway her to deal out a lighter punishment. Her word is important to him, and she is his equal so to disrespect her is to disrespect him. This male is quite the mischievous lad. He loves messing around with his pridemates, but he can of course grow serious when needed. His pride is important to him, and he would gladly die for them. He wants what's best for them and he always has them in mind when he makes decisions. He makes it his goal to know the names of every member and to know them on a personal level. He wants to be involved in the pride life and so if he can he will assist on the hunt and he likes to wake up early to patrol the borders. He is a hardworking male who ensures the safety and happiness of those he loves and cares about. He is intelligent and quite enjoys being alone for a bit if he's thinking. He hates to be disturbed when he is thinking or planning something. He is quite cunning and deceptive as well, he knows how to achieve his goals whether by good means or bad ones as well. He isn't afraid to get a little blood on his paws, but he wouldn't risk the lives of others.  This lion is quote humorous and enjoys a good laugh. If you can make him laugh then you got a friend for life. Friendships and other relationships are also important to him. Friends are more like family, and it hurts him when he's betrayed. Now when it comes to other matters he can be hardened and stoic, but if a friend is found to have betrayed him? Then he'll go into a deep sadness. He will feel it's his fault or error on his part. However, it also reveals a side of him that's undesirable. He can be quite vindictive: if you betray him then you better be prepared to say goodnight. He will not rest until he gets an answer on why you did it, and if it isn't good then he well...will kill you. While he may have a loose set of morals at times: he doesn't like traitors. To be his friend one must be honest and truthful with him. He doesn't want someone to just tells him what he wants to hear. He wants the facts of something so he can do something about it. His greatest fear is to watch someone die and not be able to do something about it. This male has a determination that cannot be measured. When he sets his mind to do something then he will accomplish it. He is an encouraging individual who will stand by your side and give you the best advice. He hears both sides: good and evil. He knows both sides with intricate detail. If swayed he can reveal a darkness admits his light. If pushed to the brink he may do things he wouldn't do now. He wouldn't hesitate to conquer a pride to the advancement of his own, but he'd rather make an agreement or talk things out. However, if there is no choice then he will do what it takes to survive. He may be bullheaded at time because when he makes a decision he stands firm by it. He would never break a promise, and he'd die before he harmed those he loves. Taranaki can be sly and manipulate bastard when he wants to be. He knows just how to tug at those heartstrings. If it gets the job then, hey, it's an option. Now he'd never cross the line and kill a cub. Kidnap, yes. Murder, no. Even if he did ’kidnap’ someone he wouldn't be so cold-hearted and harm them. Ah, now when it comes to manipulation he doesn't like being manipulated (even though he does it at times. Again this a rare trait.) He doesn't like being used for personal gain as well as it is quite despicable. Taranaki also doesn't like those who abuse their power or try and kiss up to those in higher ranks. Age: Five And A Half Gender: Female Rank: Pride Lioness Desired Rank: Lead Huntress or Queen Appearance:  When looking at this female you noice her dark golden fur. With her underbelly being lighter and her having splashes of white or cream on her chest and around her neck. She also has lighter strands of hair on her neck as well. The tip of her tail is charcoal black. On her body is a fair amount of healed scars, some small and unnoticeable- while one or two may stand out more than others. They all have different stories some from accidents, a too rough sparring session, or maybe a mishap with a hunt. Other than that it tells of her experience and age. This female stands at 3.7 feet tall and weighs in around 280 to 300 pounds. So she'd be considered a medium sized lioness with her body being a well-balanced mixture of power and speed. This size gives her the advantage and helps her be an excellent huntress and one you could rely on in a hunt. Her body is muscular and a tad bit lean but their is a slight broadness to her shoulders - she has long limbs that help her gracefully move around and move swiftly. Thought she'd be consider smaller than some lionesses, she's still one you want to count in on a fight because she can be quick and agile. This female has what can be described as beautiful and eye catching amber eyes. The colors being a beautiful mixture of yellow and orange with the brown giving her eyes a pretty honied look. Her eyes can grow bright and appear bright like gold in certain light or a dark honey when upset or annoyed. Her eyes are expressive and a window into her soul. This female walks with grace and elegance, with her head high and posture always in tact. Her voice can be described as a bit raspy, but not overly so - it has that certain feminine charm to it and command and catch the attention of others. Her scent is akin to that of desert flowers and the salty sea  Personality: The first noticeable thing about this female is the air that surrounds her. The air of confidence and power - the way she walks in a room and it commands attention and respect. The way she walks with the grace and confidence of a well-mannered dame, her posture and body is never lacking and you will never catch her slipping. She holds her head high with almost always a stern or serious expression on her face - one would assume that she is some snobby brat by the way she looks and holds herself. However, this isn't the case - yes she has a very high standard for how she would like things to go and she is confident in herself, but not to the point of arrogance. She speaks with elegance and class, always holding herself in a prim and proper manner, you will never even see a fur on her head because she make sure it will not show. Her words are always charming and ladylike - her voice brimming with confidence and daintiness, she can speak with flowery speech. Being able to drive hard bargains and negotiate very effectively, also has a knack for catching people off guard with her intelligence - not to mention she is able to verbally psychoanalysis a person with pinpoint accuracy after being with them for even just an hour or few hours at most. This woman is wickedly intelligent. Able to take in and soak even the littlest pieces of information to make an accurate deduction. She is also intrigued and enthralled by intelligence - strategizing and coming up with plans of action and carrying them out being her specialty. She is quite opinionated, even if she doesn't regularly give or express her opinion on serious subjects - however if asked she will comfortably be able to give an answer. She loves learning, knowledge is power to her and she makes sure to make the most of it. After all, what's the use of having a brain if she doesn't use it to the best of her ability. This female also can be cunning and manipulative when needed, she's the one you call if you want revenge - she knows how to play with people's strings just the way she needs to get what she needs or wants. She can be the sweetest charmer, a chaste female, or a temptress, or if you try her the most venomous serpent. Her words are her weapon and she knows how to affectively use them, she tells people what they want to hear and lets it go from them - not necessarily outright lying by a half-truth if you will. However she is able to weave and concor stories on a whim. She knows how to be shrewd and play her cards right, especially with enemies. She's witty and sharp - and anyone who doesn't know that about her or underestimates her will find themselves at her mercy. This woman has a very protective and motherly nature. Cubs are her weakness even though she won't admit it. She may have a scowl on her face when seeing children, or derogatorily call them "little goblins" because of their outrageous behavior at times - however she is definitely a sucker for their big, innocent eyes and the dumb and cute things they do. She is the one to become attached to a cub and name herself their wine drinking auntie . Once she claims a cub - they are under her protection and she protects with a vengeance. She may be ladylike but she's not above getting down and dirty with the parent of the cub who hurt her honorary niece or nephew. And she's also the one to teach her nieces how gaslight males and other cubs when needed and she also teaches them how to go for the jugular in a fight, and for her boys she does the same - along with teaching them the ways of treating a female right. She is protective of her friends and family and will not take any threat towards them lightly. She will protect them with a vengeance. This female is able to take charge when needed. And she is an excellent communicator and is able to work with others well. This woman listens, and observes others very well, able to be very perceptive and reads people like an open book. She's able to quickly deduce a lie and pick out the weak from the strong, and know who she should ally herself with. She also is a hard worker, give her a small task or small job and she will find a way to it better than it has been done. She's ambitious and knows her worth - she won't settle for being at the bottom rung of a ladder, while she's not one to actively destroy her competition or get in the way of others, everyone has a point they are pushed to. Only when she's desperate would she ever use such cutthroat methods to get what she wants, otherwise she's an honest worker who will use her talent and abilities to get where she needs. It's quite honestly scary how she can turn this fearsome side to her with a flip of the switch, and it's quite rare that she has to use it but she views it as a good thing. If people think that she doesn't have such a dark and side - then it's easier to get to them and also shows them she's not one to be trifled with. This female can be described as the pure definition of an introvert and extrovert. She is sociable and doesn't mind going out and having fun with others. She actually enjoys going on outings and fun adventures and such, however she has her limit. She can be charming and kind with others for a while, and that's until her "social battery" begins draining. When it starts to drain she loses her excited tone and becomes more silent and quiet, and starts lurking around the back - she's also a bit more irritated and possibly sarcastic and snippy with her words. The only way to fix this is to get her to leave the place and take her home, she'll need to recharge with some alone time. And maybe just maybe - a small amount of company when she gets bored. Name: Koen Age: 6 Years Gender: Male Rank: Rogue Male Desired Rank: Pride Male / Content Appearance: [Credits to HOTNStock on DA.] Koen is a creature who could very easily be considered an oddity in the feline world. He is abnormally large, standing at a behemoth 4.5 feet tall, and a heavy 570 pounds. He is solidly built, hoarding masses of muscle beneath his skin. He has a large head and broad figure, gigantic paws fitting into the rest of the hefty brute. He is filled out and powerful-looking, and some might even consider him a handsome fellow. The coat of the lion makes him even more of an oddity. It is a hue of creamy-white, marking him as a leucistic feline. He is not albino, as he doesn’t have the pink paw pads, pink nose or the pink eyes, but he is still considered a “white lion” due to the defect. He has a large mane of an equally pale coloration adorning his figure, hiding some of the scars from his younger years along his neck and shoulders, but doing little to hide the marks on the rest of his body. A very prominent scar is one on the left side of his face, right next to his eye. It was an attempt to blind him that failed, and is one of many marks upon his figure. His eyes, like many leucistic lions, are a pale shade of blue, rather than the average orangey-shade of other lions eyes. Personality: Quiet || Soft-Spoken || Unafraid to Lend His Opinion || Peaceful || Loyal || Extremely Protective || Intimidating Koen could be described as a creature that is both simple and complex. At first, he may appear to be ‘basic’, and, in truth, some parts of him are, but as one gets to know him, they will see the intricate parts of him that weave together the pale lion. They will see the quieter nature give way to jokes and playing, the hard stares crumble beneath something full of warmth. The male is quiet by nature, words being soft when they are spoken. With strangers, or creatures that he simply dislikes, he may be near silent, if not completely so. With those that he enjoys the company of, or someone that he has known for quite some time, he may utter jokes and jabs, tell stories or simply attempt to make conversation. Reserved wouldn’t be the way to describe him, if he thinks something requires his opinion or his voice then he certainly isn’t afraid to lend it, but perhaps soft, or peaceful, would be more like him. Whilst it may take a while to gain his loyalty, once Koen has decided you’ve earned it, it’s difficult to get rid of. He’s a brute that would stand beside you at all costs, and you have to really fuck up for him to question where his loyalties lay. In a similar fashion, Koen is very protective of what is his. This could be his siblings, his cubs, his mate, his land--whatever the case, Koen might even be borderline possessive. What’s his is his, and he won’t take at all kindly to another trying to take it from him, or harming those that he regards as his. In terms of those he loves fighting, or arguing, or whatever the case, Koen may leave it for a little bit--he knows what it is to have someone step in on his arguments, knows the irritation, and so he leaves it until he believes that he must step in, or until they are done and he can approach the offending party in a calmer environment. Whilst he might not try to be, the pale brute can be rather... intimidating. It’s not as if he makes an effort to be, but the quiet way he moves, his hard stares, partnered with his large size, could make him seem intimidating, despite his calmer, more respectful nature.
