By the time Addilyn had finished with her plate of delicious spaghetti, she was ready to curl up on the couch for a long nap. The day had been tiring, and had taken a lot out of her. Especially with her absolutely embarrasing fight with the tiny enginner woman and her earlier outburst had been startling, even for herself. The words had just sprang from her lips, and she felt like an idiot for allowing fucking Bronze Fist to get under her skin. The day had just been really stressful, and she just wanted to forget about it. Once Addilyn finished her meal, and the conversation with Jason paused, she stood and rinsed off the dishes. Once everything was put away, Addilyn stretched, a soft yawn rising into the air as a few strands of hair fell from the bun and drifted onto her face. Tam trotted over and sat at her feet, looking from her to Jason, not quite knowing who to look at. "So," Addilyn said, dragging out the word. "Do you wanna watch a movie or something? I mean, it is kinda late, you might want to go home, I wouldn't want to keep you here too late since tomorrow could always bring more work." Addilyn released a soft huff, and a look of annoyed dread crossed her face, she had a private meeting with Commander tomorrow that she just couldn't wait for. She couldn't wait to get yelled at for almost getting unmasked and making herself look like a fool. It was like, her favorite thing to do. ~ The sarcasm is strong in this one))

Jason helped Addilyn rinse dishes and clear the table, and then started working on putting the leftover pasta and noodles away in Tupperware so Addilyn could reheat it later, "Sure," he agreed easily, "A movie sounds great. I can finish this up while you choose one?" Jason glanced at Addilyn with a small smile, "And it's worth it to be a little tired tomorrow if I get to spend some more time with you." Jason could see the tension laced throughout Addilyn's face at the mention of the meeting, and wanted to do all he could to erase that, "I also give a mean back massage, if that's something you'd be interested in while watching the movie."

A soft smile settled onto Addilyn's face as Jason spoke, and she melted a bit under his warm gaze. He always seemed to have that affect on her, the automatic giddiness that always flooded her when he was near was something no one had ever made her feel. Although it might be disconcerting to some, it just made Addilyn feel a bit safer, in fact, she always felt safe around Jason, which was a good thing of course. "Well if that's the case then I may just have to take you up on that offer. I don't think I've ever gotten a massage, like ever, I'm probably gonna laugh, a lot." Addilyn's one true weakness was that she was horribly ticklish, she could remember times where Da- nope. Addilyn stopped her train of thought right there. She couldn't stand thinking about that asshole without wanting to punch someone or something. Addilyn quickly forced herself to just drop that line of thought entirely and focus more on the movie picking aspect. A smile drifted onto her face as she debated on what movie to pick. "How do you feel about musicals? Specifically The Sound of Music?" A mischevious glimmer appeared in Addilyn's eyes. She adored that movie, it reminded her of her home, with the green and the hills and just the graceful elegance that was nature.

Jason's gleeful laugh carried from the kitchen, "Oh god, that brings back memories! I'd love to watch The Sound of Music." When Jason was younger, before his parents died and when they were all actually in the house on speaking terms, his mother would start up old musicals and teach him and his brother the songs to them. Jason could count the amount of times it happened on two hands, but that didn't make the memories any less pleasant. After Jason was finished with putting away the leftovers, he came out into the living room and sprawled on the couch. When Addilyn was ready to sit down as well, he wedged himself in the corner and patted the area in front of him, "Sit here so I can give you a massage," he directed, "My mom taught me how when I was little."

A surprised giggle escaped Addilyn's lips, and she smiled as she slid the DVD out of its case. She was one of those few people who still did have DVDs, and she was happy to admit it. After pushing it into its player, Addilyn released her hair from its bun, a tingling feeling running through her scalp as she did so. (Bro do you know what I'm talking about here? Like when you had long hair and you would put it in a ponytail and when you took it out after a few hours your scalp just tingled?) Once making sure the movie was actually working, Addilyn nabbed (I feel like this isn't a word but it is to me) the remote off the table and plopped down in front of Jason, grinning as she did so. "Okay so," Addilyn paused, pink tinging her cheeks as she tried to form a coherent sentence that wouldn't make her look like an absolute idiot. "I know this is stupid but I am extremely ticklish so umm. That's the main reason I've never gotten a massage really." Addilyn gathered her hair over her left shoulder, and twirled it in between her fingers, waiting for Jason to laugh at her for being so childish.

Jason huffed a light laugh, "You are so cute, damn it." Jason lightly rubbed his hands over Addilyn's shoulders, feeling out the knots and tension, and began to work at them with his thumbs, "If it's too bad just tell me. But I can feel you have some pretty tough knots in your shoulders, and probably along your back too." As the pre-movie clips were playing, Jason felt a grin tugging at his mouth. This seeemed so unreal. He'd never, ever, thought that something this normal could be his reality, and Jason... god, Jason hoped he could preserve it.

Addilyn would probably be thinking something deep and meaningful too, if it weren't for the fact that she was biting her tongue to prevent herself from breaking into a fit of laughter. Jason's words had reached her ears though, and she could feel red heat blossom on her cheeks. She couldn't remember the last time someone had dared to call her cute. Sure, she had a few, gross men at the agency who thought calling her 'beautiful' like it was her name would change the way she felt about them and show them her face, but no one ever called her cute. Somehow, it almost felt right when Jason was saying it. He wasn't particularly teasing her, or saying she looked like a child, he was just saying his thoughts, and that was something Addilyn could appreciate. It took all of Addilyn's power to keep herself from busting out into laughter, but she restrained herself to only giggling a few times. Which was an amazing show of self restraint on her part. When Addilyn caught a break for a moment, she finally replied to Jason. "Considering the fact that I regularly kick ass as my job, I feel like it would be a problem if I didn't have any knots in my back. Thanks again babe, even if I feel as though I may just break out into laughter at any given moment." Once Addilyn finished talking, she turned her head a little and flashed Jason a little smile, her green eyes sparkling in the relatively dim light. Tam sat on the loveseat to their left, giving the two space, while also giving himeself a moment to take a break from watching his human. As Addilyn looked around, she released a soft sigh, somehow, all of this, just felt right.

Now that the massage was over, Jason leaned back into the corner of the sofa, and shot Addilyn a cheeky grin, "I like making you laugh, Addilyn. Now!" Jason emphasized leaning back even further into the comfortable chair, "Let's watch this movie. Maria is about to sing a kickass song and I want to enjoy it." - ts?
