Kanu didn't really give a shit about any wars and stuff like that. He just wasn't one to care about those sorts of things even though with his help hell could probably win the battle. There were very few half blooded dragons and they tended to be the more powerful of shifters. The problem was that the dragon was quite powerful and their half-blooded bodies weren't exactly suited for that much power. So basically Kanu would die eventually if he used the dragon side of him too much. That was the main reason why he didn't join the war, he also just didn't care. Like most things. This included that heavenly chick that obviously disliked him, he couldn't care less about her.

Oh yaasss))
Kanu was done. More than ever he wanted to be back in hell at his little cottage. Admiring his trophies and drinking till he passed out. Yea that sounded really good at that moment. Instead, he was stuck in this stupid, horribly bright realm where the little humans screamed when they saw him flying in the sky. One day he should just fly in dragon form and make everyone really scream. That was the least of his problems though. He hated being so formal and bleh. He didn't like Shoter as he was stuck up and only wanted power. Everyone here was just so stiff and it was boring when everyone was so uptight. On top of his boredom, the advisers were constantly there and annoyed the hell out of him. Always badgering him about what he should be doing instead of flying outside or trying to get drunk and failing because the drinks here weren't potent enough for a half-dragon. For once he actually wanted to actually be in hell.

Sloana was done. Even in the heavens, Sloana hasn't been quite like every other person, even amongst her fellow killers. Shoter seemed to expect gifts, which she gave, much to her own dismay. Sloan's gived what she would like to receive if being wooed by someone (not that it would work, or that she wanted to be wooed by someone) which was trophies of a hunt - meaning skulls and bones. The first time Sloane met privately with the asshat of a overlord, she presented him with a fine skull of a Tellemonga, which is a acid spitting bat. Shoter did not like it. He ranted and raved about how a skull wasn't appropriate. The gifts should be fine and rich, and from the heavens itself! Sloana took that as he wanted a skull from an animal that lived only in the heavens, so she gave him a Ullopia skull the next time, a water dwelling wolf who had slaughtered over a thousand citizens before being stopped by yours truly. He dropped it to the ground, where it shattered. It took all of Sloane's self control to not shatter him. She had spent that night meticulously mending the skull, until spiderweb thin cracks were the only sign it had been broken. It is missing a piece, though, lost somewhere in the gardens. Sloane had hunted for it, but alas, she couldn't find it anywhere.

Who's Sloana?))
Kanu gave Shoter gifts too, of course, they were the things his advisers told him to give the king. Like jewels from the hottest volcanoes in hell, don't forget the sky diamonds. Kanu did not care for any of it. He gave them to Shoter, acted a little nice, then left for the nearest tavern and flirted with random people. Unfortunately he couldn't get nearly as drunk as he wanted to be so instead he just flirted, and did a little bit of assassin work. He was sick and tired of Earth and wanted to go home. This whole thing was to much work for Kanu. He was a lazy prince and had sent many letters to his mother begging her to let him come home. Unfortunately it wasn't exactly her decision and now the letters they exchanged were mostly about how much they hated Kanu's father. Their shared hate for the man made their bond closer.

Look I am typing on my ipad and it hates all the names I come up with) Also idea - maybe Kanu finds the fragment and eventually gives it back? And that's when she maybe stops seeing him as the enemy? Then later occurs what croissant we were talking about?))
Sloane had tried all she knew, and once her ideas ran out and her patience worn very thin, she stopped spending the nights at the palace. In the darker parts of town, there was a little inn was a tavern below. At first, they had been reluctant to let an immortal loose cannon stay, but when some gold was flashed... Long story short, Sloane had the largest and nicest room in the inn, with all the privacy and space away from the chaos she needed. After leaving the awful palace room, Sloane's mood lifted significantly.

Kanu was stuck at the palace because of the advisers, whom he got away from as often as he could. When he got away from them, he'd cause as much mischief as he could and pick up assignments from clients. Due to this awful Earth, Kanu's mood was lowered significantly. Especially because he couldn't drink. He didn't like not drinking.

She still had to be there during the days, but at least she wasn't nearly as grumpy as before. Sloane still attempted to win over Shoter, but they were becoming far and few between. The only thing that made her keep trying was the fact that 1) if Kanu and Shoter got married they would attempt to take over and destroy the Heavens and 2) Sloane hated losing, so she sure as hell won't let Kanu win this stupid game.

Kanu really would've left by now if it weren't for the constant threat of war looming over his head if he didn't marry Shoter. No matter how much he hated his father, and the royal life. He didn't want to see his people hurt, Kanu hated it when innocents got involved in things that they didn't deserve to have to deal with. Of course, he'd let everyone think he didn't care for his people until the last moment when his kind were needed the most. He secretly wanted to see his father beg for Kanu and his mother's help, as they were both strictly against killing too much. As the dragon inside craved the blood it spilled. For Kanu, a half-breed, it was a bit worse but he sated it with his job. Still, his instincts were there and sometimes he really felt like chopping Shoter's head off just because he was to annoyed to deal with the human king.

The only positive was that Shoter was simply mortal, and would die quickly. Then they would have a lasting treaty with Earth, long enough to shake away Hell and it's ever consuming grasp. Sloane didn't know how Kanu thought, but she knew his father was even more of an ass, and wouldn't hesitate to try for conquest of her home.
