Traveler nodded, looking over his shoulder back towards the stranger. "Didn't say it was going to heal overnight," he exhaled, moving a bit more faster before hearing the man speak again. "You don't listen, do ya? I said it before - I already cleared the area." He stated, a bit more stern before entering the shed. On a small wooden desk, he lit the oil lamp.

Ewan nearly cowered. "Ye never know. The infected will follow the birds." He said. A spider falling from the ceiling on a drag line interested him, causing him to hold a hand to the little critter. Once the spider settled on a knuckle, he sat in a nearby chair. "I feel sorry for the creatures. The infected hunt them like they do us." He said sadly.

"They might, but it's never been anything I can't handle," Traveler stated. He went over to the furthest corner, grabbing a few canned goods before tossing them on the floor next to the man. He had a few bottles of water, which wouldn't last long, but he managed to scavenge some meds as well. He gave the man a bottle of water and meds. "Here," he huffed, looking around for a moment before looking back down at the man as he spoke again. "They'll do anything to get anything living. Best be grateful it ain't us always."

Ewan nodded gratefully to the man for the supplies. "True. I just wish I could help 'em out. Anyway, thank you for the help..." he trailed off, wishing he knew the man's name. "My name is uh, Ewan." He said after a moment. (Pronounced Eh-whan)

Traveler looked down at him sitting in the chair. He huffed slightly, looking around the small building for a moment before his attention was drawn back to him as he spoke. "You can't be like that in this world - it's just survival of the fittest now." He states, his eyes slightly narrowed as he thanked him. He scoffed slightly as he heard the man introduce himself a moment later. "Traveler."

Ewan nodded. "Its nice to meet ye, Traveler" he said, then sipped the water he was handed. The knife he had taken from Traveler was in his waistband and he pulled it out, handing it back to Traveler. "Dont think ill be needing that now." He said, still keeping an eye on the man. No matter how good looking, a person can always stab you in the back if it seemed that was the best way to survive.

Traveler nodded. "How'd you end up here anyways?" He asked, pulling up another chair next to Ewan. He took the knife from Ewan, setting it on the small desk. He huffed slightly, his blue, narrow eyes focusing in on the man in front of him. He was curious to know how he ended up out here on his own. No way he was in a group, especially by the look of him. Traveler would then think about his own group, all of which were probably far gone now. He sighed softly at the thought.

Ewan chuckled. "Was holed up in Denver when the reactor blew, myself and my dog managed to get here alone but uh.. the rippers got her about a week ago. Gained what I needed to survive from gas stations like the one you found me at. Was headed east, heard there's a shelter around New York? Not sure, somewhere on the coast." He said, clearly in thought about many things. His green eyes finally focused on Traveler. "Guess most of why I am still alive is pure luck." He said.

Traveler furrowed his eyebrows slightly. "Huh," he said to himself, his teeth grinding slightly. "I figure New York is overrun by now. No way there's actual shelter," he paused for a moment, "not even this shed will shelter us for long. It won't be long until either the infected or some people manage to find this and loot it. Wouldn't be the first time it happened." Traveler muttered his last sentence, feeling Ewan focus on him. "You could say that."

Ewan shrugged. "I understand. Stella and I had a little apartment to hole in till a group led by some burly bouncer took it over, practically threw me out." He said with a sigh.
