A loud beeping noise reached the air but unlike her alarm, this one was higher toned and more insistent. Addilyn rolled off the couch and lightly tapped the watch. An assignment! Just one a day let her pay for her mother's bills and provide for the older woman for a whole week. That was the only reason Addilyn was so excited for this one. She read the assignment aloud so Lewis could hear. "Suspicious person(s) noticed inside a few stores Carrying rather large bags and undoubtedly weapons. Both are known criminals. Reptile dude or something and some other powerless guy that likes to steal according to his record." Addilyn sighed, she hated getting easy assignments. It made her think that the agency didn't believe she was strong enough to carry herself in a real fight. "Good, not too hard. I'll take you." Addilyn nodded to Lewis and went to the garage with him. Lewis' car was old but great. He loved its nerdy look. Went with his aesthetic or something. Addilyn knew how this went and quietly got in the car. Her coat swished around her knees as she hopped in. Lewis hopped into the driver's seat and smirked as he started the car. It was an inconspicuous car, no one would know a superhero sat in the passenger's seat. Lewis hurried his way out of the garage. Driving over to the place described. Addilyn flung her coat off into the backseat and smiled. "See you in a bit." He nodded and then she was gone. Of course she wasn't really gone. Just to everyone else she was. Addilyn pulled up her mask and lightly touched her gun just to make sure it was on her back and she hadn't left it again.

Marina had left soon after the call ended, grabbing dark red ribbon. Who the order was for - Marina had no idea. Whoever wanted this had someone else speak on the phone. She knew this because their speaker told her. She guessed it was a female - possibly a hero. She wanted a ribbon to tie in her hair that could expand at rapid rates. Marina guessed the woman had some sort of power to control objects, and wanted something to incapacitate an enemy. Marina was fine with that - she just didn't want to enemy to be her. The flower shop wasn't too far away, and it didn't take long for Marina to get there. She didn't hide her face, or wear all black - instead she had a sweater and jeans. Simple clothes. Her plan was to place an order for 'Ribb,' tie the ribbon around a bouquet, and leave. She had already been paid. A simple ribbon like that only weant for 2k. Her current project was 20k

The young woman was invisible though not silent as she normally would. There was no reason to use that power if she didn't have to and since there was so many people conversing in this shopping area; she was safe for now. As everyone walked by, she kept her eyes open for the suspicious people that had been reported. It didn't take any longer than 10 minutes to hear a scream. Addilyn's legs moved before she had time to think. Running straight for the shop the cry had come from. Walking in, she carefully took in the scene in front of her. Reptile dude was forcing the lady at the register to give him all the money in there. Meanwhile, the powerless guy was threatening the customers and picking stuff off the counters while doing so. This was a poorly planned robbery to say the least, anyone could walk in and kill the two without thinking about it. That wasn't Addilyn though. She never killed unless it was entirely necessary. What happened to the people she handed over was out of her hands. Addilyn, being the skilled hero she is, knew all the pressure points on one's body and could make someone pass out instantly because of a quick jab. Or at least fall to their knees before knocking them out with the butt of her gun. The real problem was the powerless man and his carelessness with the gun he was holding. So he was the one Addilyn went after first. He didn't even know what had hit him. She knocked him out quickly and efficiently being careful not to touch him. He made nothing other than a soft groan and she smirked as he fell. Turning around, prepared to do the same to the other dude. Her smile fell as she turned and saw him standing in horror.

Mari left quickly, and saw, much to her delight, that there was no one around. So her customer respected her rules. Whenever someone did that, Marina was more willing to take on more difficult tasks. Everyone seemed to be running away from some chaos, letting Marina slip away into the crowd. By questioning someone, Marina found there was a robbery - something knocked out one of them, but the other was still kicking. Half of Marina hesitated - perhaps she should go back.... but the other half of her urged her to go on. It must be the invisible hero. The word hero made Marinas lips curl, but she would admit the girl could handle herself.

The man couldn't see Addilyn but he probably already knew who she was. Being the only hero right now that was known for being invisible, he probably knew who she was. Silent Shadow. The mute superhero who stalked her prey in complete silence. Without warning, the man took off out the door. Addilyn growled and turned off her powers as she ran after him. It would be easier for people to move out of her way if she was visible to the human eyes. Addiyn took off after the man, green eyes narrowing on the thief's back. She finally decided that the only way she would catch up to him would be hurting him. Something she really didn't feel like doing. Taking out one of her throwing knives, her aim landed well and true. Right into the back of the man's calf. He screamed in pain and Addilyn had to remind herself that he wasn't a good person in order not to feel sorry for him. As he sank to his knees, she raced over to him and had him bound in seconds. Her green eyes glimmered softly before the emotion disappeared and she became a blank slate. The man groaned softly as the sounds of sirens approached in the distance. The cops were here and would take care of the mess as they always did. Giving one a nod of appreciation, she took off. Turning her power back on so people couldn't see where she went.

Marina made it back to her lab, safe and sound. Speaking of her lab, it was an underground area, somewhere in the tangles of the sewer system. It was well lit, and all of her gadgets were safely locked up, so even if someone did break in, it would be impossible to get into them - even if someone had an extreme strength.

Addilyn made it back to Lewis without any problems. Jumping into the car as Lewis quickly drove off. She grabbed her jacket from the back and turned her powers back off. Panting after running for quite some time. Lewis smirked. "Went well? No one died?" Addilyn nodded, "no one died." Lewis seemed relieved, relaxing a bit more. The young woman had never really hurt someone, knocking them out was easy enough.

I want West so bad :( I take back my previous statement - I'm using him even before him and Lewis meet. Still in the coffee shop, though
West had his own little corner in the coffee shop. It wasn't official, but since he rarely left the place, no one else really sat in it. The little corner nook is the only place he finds inspiration to do anything. For years he was untouched, but now, writers block slams into him with enough force to make him curl up and cry. The Tales of Westly had the first chapter done, a vague plot, and about sixty chapters thrown away. Fans always ask for a release date, but West just can't give it to them. He is stuck, drowning in quicksand. The only things he does in his little corner nook are on another spectrum of the storytelling scale. He draws, sketching out the people he sees, trying to capture their essence in a paper pad. Sometimes he just stares off, thinking of a place he has never been, a world he hasn't created, a story he hasn't told, and drew, not looking at the paper. Then, at the end, he would look at his pad, and see what was looking back at him. It used to be detailed drawing of magical things, but now... now all they were are dark lines and missing pieces in his massive puzzle.

Sadness. That is sad.
Silent Shadow had successfully knocked out 2 men who were in the process of an armed robbery. Making it her 13th minor call while she had 10 actual major calls. It was so weird to hear the things said over the radio about a woman that was Addilyn but not at the same time. Sure, Addilyn liked helping others, but she detached herself from her job and the name that came with it. She didn't like all the fame and press and trivial things like that. In all honesty, she didn't really want her job anymore. The amount of stress and pain put into it really wasn't worth the money. If only she had worked harder in school. Then she could actually be doing something good.

Yes. West is sad boy
Perhaps always trying to write wasn't getting him anywhere, and after running himself completely dry of inspiration and motivation, he should be trying something new. The problem was, West only knew it work. He only knew how to put in 100% effort, and the fact that he couldn't work drove him crazy. He lived his whole life based around effort and success. He had been top of his class in every grade, and the valedictorian. Work and effort were not strangers to him, yet here he was. Sitting alone in the coffee shop nook, because in the end, there was nothing else to do. Isolating himself for years as he wrote left him lonely, despite all the fans, and it left him with no other hobbies. West didn't know what he liked to do for fun, and in the end, he was too scared to try. So there he sat, sketching with dark lines and heavy shadows, in his little nook, which was more like his self-built prison.
