Gryphem heard Kanu's words, and feeling the severity of the situation, huffed, asking a silent question. Sloane also realized their careful pace wasn't going to cut it, and waited until Kanu was don't talking, "You are right - I don't understand. But we are going to go faster, okay? It'll get bumpy and hurt, but you need the antidote or whatever fast." Sloane reached around Kanu and grabbed ahold of the harness Gryphem wore, and bumped her heels lightly against his sides, telling the beast to go on. Gryphem immediately shot off.

Like Sloane had warned, it was a lot bumpier. It wasn't bad for someone who was healthy, but for an injured person, the ride would hurt. It would also get them there in a fraction of the time.

Kanu began to tear up as the pain rolled through his body. It was much worse than he had though it would be. So bad that he though he might have to throw up in a bit. So to distract himself, he started talking, his voice a near shout to be heard over the thing's wings.

"You know, everyone thinks I'm so powerful in the underworld, but they didn't see me when I was nine and dying on my bed when my uncle accidentally bought me a silver chain. My mother had convinced me I was a powerful full-blooded dragon because I had always wanted to be just like her. She almost killed me by lying, but here I am. Though I suppose dying by practically the same thing is not very impressive. Sorry I am badgering on and on I'm being very annoying." Kanu would never call himself annoying.

The poison must be getting bad.

"Yes! You are definitely being annoying," Sloane agreed, hoping they could get to the palace soon, "And it was silver, huh? Remind me never to wear it. I'd rather not have the whole underworld trying to rip out my throat for killing you." Sloane wasn't very good at being... soft. She tended to speak her mind and not sugar coat things.

Kanu laughed softly, though he stopped quickly once his lungs began to ache. It probably wasn't a good idea to laugh when he was already short of breath. "Well, if I die you won't have to worry about any of that, and I'd be more worried about my mother than any of the underworld. They'd probably be rejoicing, cause then they'd have the chance to be heir as well. My mother, she's the dragon, and mom dragons are very mean. You two would probably get along in that sense." Kanu chuckled, the action making blood slip down his cheek. The poison was spreading very fast, it was already beginning to touch his forehead.

They touched down in front of the palace, and Gryphem roared like nothing before. They should summon the advisors quickly, but just in case Sloane helped Kanu down from the beast, "Bang against the doors." The griffin repeated slammed his shoulder into the large doors until the fell open. Sloane barked out an order to the nearest person, "Find the Underworld advisors," When the poor boy, who had probably just started working at the palace, seemed frozen in place, Sloane snapped again, "Now!" He scurried off.

Kanu was leaning heavily against Sloane, his nose trickled blue blood as did his injuries. The red poison veins spiderwebbed across his entire body, and his limbs twitched violently every now and then. "Damn," he paused, panting, "this really sucks." He was breathless as he spoke, his chest heaving as it tried, and failed, to get more oxygen.

It took 5 minutes for the boy to find one of the advisors, the older demon felt the servant rather than saw him and quickly went for his prince.
The demon made it to Kanu and Sloane quickly enough, his long white hair and blue eyes making Kanu wince. "Oh damn, of course i-it's you. I'd like to go to sleep now if that's cool." Within a second Kanu had passed out, his eyes rolling into the back of his head and he went limp. The young looking demon rushed forwards and easily picked Kanu up bridal style. "Thank you Princess Sloane, I will take him for now. We are in your debt." And just like that, the demon was speeding away.

Kanu was brought to his room and set down, none to gently, on his bed. The other advisors had gathered and the eldest hurried in, carrying the antidote and slamming the door behind him. THe other advisors set up noise cancelling wards, they did not need the whole palace to know of Kanu's hidden weakness.

The old advisor rushed over to Kanu and quickly sat him up, his eyes filled with unsaitable worry. The mash in this bowl was the only way Kanu would live, as well as a blood transfusion from a pure demon, which the white haired demon easily was doing. The advisor, with the help of the others, managed to help Kanu swallow the nasty mixture. It might be too late, though they sincerely hoped it wasn't.

Sloane was doing okay at managing Kanu's heavy weight until he fainted, and then she was almost swamped by the tall man. Luckily, the advisor was there, and took the weight off of her.

Sloane watched curiously as the demon took Kanu away. With a start, Sloane realized she had started calling and thinking of him as "Kanu" and not "Asshole Prince." Sloane wasn't sure what to think of this.

It isn't.

It took Kanu 5 whole minutes to wake up, and the advisors had really begun to believe that he was as good as dead. Luckily, the demons were stubborn and waited impatiently for their prince to awaken.

Kanu blinked his eyes open, dazed and utterly confused as he took in the concerned faces of the demons and the unbearable pain in his shoulder and leg. The advisor from before quickly handed Kanu a tall glass of demon blood, "drink, now. You experienced horrible blood loss and this will help activate the healing essence in the mash we gave you regardless. Drink. It." The man's voice was firm as Kanu took it in his good hand and drank it all in one go, immediately feeling warmer as the magic began its work.
"We already patched up your external injuries, though don't get me wrong, you still look like absolute shit," a beautiful demon spoke, her curly red hair the same color as leaves in autumn. "Thanks for not dying though, saved us some paper work." Kanu bared his sharp teeth in an annoyed sneer. His advisors never failed to make him mad.

Sloane could hardly stand to stay in the palace, but remained, for some reason. After pacing the entrance way, Sloane decided that walking wasn't going to complete anything.

She headed outside and praised Gryphem for his speed, and called him a very good boy, pleasing the beast. Suddenly, he stiffened, but Sloane knew him enough to know he wasn't worried.

Moments later, one of the friendliest faces in the world came into view. Bulla! The little dragon was finally back from her trip to the Heavens.

Kanu felt his body begin to numb with exhaustion, after all he'd just been through his body was begging for rest. Especially since he had been very drunk before the whole ordeal. "I think this little party is over. Please go back to whatever you were doing. Thank Sloane for me please," Kanu generally sounded breathless. He just wanted some sleep.

The young demon from before ushered the advisors out and began to hunt down Princess Sloane. Hoping to find her in the same place he'd left her.
