Ewan nodded and turned west, shifting the bag onto his shoulder better and limping silently. He somehow knew that Traveler had his back. After all, the man could've let Ewan die out there on the street, or could've killed him as he rested in the first cabin, but no, he didn't and it puzzled Ewan. Computers were so much easier to read than other people. A hand brushed through his short black hair as he continued to think on this. Moments before he walked into an infected, he stopped, holding a fist up for Traveler to stop. Only 7 foot away. Ewan looked around, looking for more, only to see nothing more than the single one.

As Traveler followed Ewan, he felt this sense of something different washing over him. Why did he save him? Traveler was on his way, trying to get back to his group. Why have some injured man prevent him from getting there faster? Traveler avoided the thought as much as possible, but when Ewan held up a fist, Traveler knew exactly what that meant. He stopped, getting down on one knee and look around. In front of him was an infected and Ewan, and they were both looking for the same thing -- infected.
(Late response, my apologies!)

(Yay, you're back. I missed this rp) Ewan decided against kneeling due to his ankle. Except he had to when it shot pain through his leg. As silently as possible, he knelt, glancing back at Traveler and slipping a small throwing knife to him, a silent plead for Traveler to deal with the threat. At times, Ewan was a vulnerable man. Couldn't hurt a fly. Unless, that fly threatened someone he loved. This never occurred to him earlier when he went berserk.

Traveler would go on to take the smaller knife, sighing softly as if to grudgingly do what Ewan had intended for Traveler to do. But he did do just that - take care of the infected, and as he slowly moved forwards, he was making sure each step was carefully placed with minimal noise before he could get the upperhand of the infected and peacefully take them out without an issue. Traveler was lucky enough to not be too loud, so he was able to return back to Ewan, untouched, and return the small knife.
"Ya done being princess now?" Traveler huffed.

Ewan smiled. "Oh, never, I don't mind being the damsel in distress. Just waiting for my knight in shining armor to save me." He said, watching Traveler. He never hid that he was gay, in fact, Traveler was probably the only person around Ewan that didn't know. Ewan looked Traveler in the eye. Then smirked, playing his own comment in his head.

Traveler couldn't help but cock a brow at Ewan. Taken aback by the comment, the man couldn't decide if the other was just being sarcastic or flirty. He shook his head. "No shining armor in this world, princess," he spat sarcastically, looking around in case there were more infected around. Traveler looked back at Ewan, seeing him smirk. Interesting, thought Traveler.
