Moon finished the meat, and walked back to find Katie.

Noctem jumped a little at Katie's outburst, then looked at her. "Calm down, we aren't going to solve anything by shouting," he said. He looked back at Moonbeam and crouched down in front her. "Are your parents here?" he asked gently.

Hey guys, I wouldn't drink any water from down river by any chance." She said when she made it to Katie and the wolves she was talking to.

Katie said " Sorry I'm usually more composed than that". Then she turn to Moonbeam waiting for an answer to Noctem's question. She sat down and tried to calm her nerves. Katie said to Moon " Thanks for letting us know".

"My parents? No..they were killed by hunters. I'm the only one of my pack here." MoonBeam said sadly. "So, another wolf. Noctem. That name sounds cool! Anyway...about what they said; what do these humans want from a pup? Geeze. I'm not even 1 and they decide to take my family away!" MoonBeam was wandering in her thoughts about why humans wanted a pup. The rest of them were all adults!! MoonBeam growled low under her breath so hopefully, the others couldn't hear her. She sometimes forgot about her being half-deaf. As long as she couldn't hear herself, others couldn't hear her either. Sometimes that wasn't the case though.

Noctem frowned. "I'm sorry, Moonbeam," he said. He looked up around all the wolves in the enclosure. They probably all have similar stories, he thought. Everyone here has lost something because of humans. Noctem looked back down at Moonbeam. "Is anyone taking care of you?" he asked.

Peppernose heard the conversation of the two wolves, looking at the other wolves; she looked at Noctem and Moonbeam. She was worried the two may be frightened but she had to tell them. "I think we are being used for fur skins!" she whispered to Noctem and Moonbeam. "I-I think we need to escape..." she stumbled with her words. But how could she escape? Suddenly something caught her eye.

"No, nobody really takes care of me. I usually just wander around." MoonBeam told Noctem. Then, the wolf from the cage whom's name MoonBeam didn't know came out and whispered something. "I'm sorry...but what did you say?" MoonBeam hated asking wolves to repeat themselves just because of her. Sometimes she wished she weren't half-deaf.

Noctem looked up, startled by the wolf's sudden appearance. "I'm sorry, what?" he asked, standing up and taking a couple steps back. He heard Moonbeam's question and said, "She said we were going to be used for fur skins." What did she mean by 'fur skins'? Noctem stared at the stanger for a moment. "I agree, we need to get out of here," he said. "But I've been all around the barrier and there aren't any holes or ways we could get out." Noctem paused. "What's your name?" he asked.
