"We found them. The older one is kinda foxish, but more wolfish, but aqua is wolf that looks like a fox. I scented them, and when we found them they were trapped in their collapsed den. We saw the dead mother at the mouth of the den, so we dug them out. They haven't caused us any trouble, but you can go ahead and leave if you're gonna treat them like this. "

Totem went over to the pups and nudged them into the den. She sat at the mouth, making sure they weren't hurt.

Gwen raised an eyebrow, not sure if she believed them. Their story did not make complete sense, and she decided to question them further.

"Oh? And what was the mother? Part hedgehog with a quarter ferret and a sliver of human? Oh please. That hardly makes sense at all."

Her eyes shot around them for a second, flicking through the trees to be sure it was still safe. Years of being a loner had taught her it was not wise to turn your back on anyone, friend or foe. They could betray you in the blink of an eye, then leave without any regrets. She had seen it happen before. Besides, if she was attacked, she knew she could probably handle them.

Her eyes shot back to the wolves and possibly foxes. Why were the wolves so quick to defend them? There was no reason. It would be better to simply kill the spawn than let live. Of course she normally didn't kill others, but she had a certain hate for foxes. Possibly something that happened long ago, or a secret buried deep in her heart, just waiting to be uncovered.

Astral laid down by his fox friend, kinda putting his head on her back as a way to 'protect' her. He had no injuries, his fur was just messy from being ran into.

Shadow said, "No! I meant in their actions! You know what I think? You wanna kill us for helping newborn foxes, without a smidge of pity. Fine! Go ahead! But you'll have to fight us, and I mean hard. I was the best hunter in my pack!"

Tot e m sa i d, " Same here. I was ab e to kill a deer at 2. Still got the same strength and fire in me. "

Suddenly they hear a howl from Lobo, "Mom! Pack died except our family! Coming over!" I t was pretty close too. Like ¼ mile close. For a second it was silent. Then Totem growled. "Shall we?"

just then, Esme, the pups, amd Lobo came out of the bushes, and Shadow led the pups to the den. Lobo asked, " What's going on? "

Totem replied, " This wolf wants to kill us. "

Lobo, being super angry, pounced on Gwen. Pretty soon Esme, Totem, Lobo, and Shadow were all fighting Gwen.

Gwen rolled her eyes sarcastically, yawning. "And why would I want that? Haven't I made it clear enough that the foxes are my only target? And also, you specifically said they were wolves before, and now they are fox kits? My, the change around here. It was better in the old days, when the vermin were slain on sight, no questions asked. And being able to kill a deer at age two? Wow, the rest of your pack must have hit it pretty hard to get it ready for your blow."

A howl came and she slowly perked her ears, listening. Sitting stock still she heard crashing in the bushes and whipped around. She wasn't growling, but her eyes were narrowed. They relaxed slightly when she saw it was wolves. When one of the original wolves said she was trying to kill them, she gasped and turned.

"That is a lie! How dare you speak against me in such a fashion!" She yelled, eyes blazing. But she did not yet move.

Then the wolf pounced, and soon four of the were fighting her. Slashing her claws around, snapping her jaws, and hurling herself about she barely managed to fend them off. One would jump on her and she would shove them away just to have another body on her. Finally she managed to get her jaws around Lobo, who she was pinning to the ground.

"Stop! This is ridiculous! Just stop fighting and I will let this wolf go, then can I explain?! Seriously!" Gwen did not harm him, aside from having him struggled underneath her grip and then tightening her hold. He was not able to escape.

Astral made room for the new pups that had suddenly appeared in all the commotion going on. He didn't let any of them near Aqua because he was afraid that they might hurt her too. As soon as the pups heard of a fight breaking out, they all huddled close together and didn't look outside the den.

Aqua kept her face hidden while her friend stood over her. She curled up into a tighter ball when she scented others coming into the den, scared that she was going to be attacked again. Aqua felt comforted that her friend still stood over her to protect her, but covered her ears when she heard the fighting start.

Lobo gives up trying to wiggle out, an tries to turn around to bite her feet. She just pressed down harder. Trying once more, he felt a crack in his chest from the pressure. He lets out a yelp of pain and Gwen instantly let up. Sadly, she still kept hold of him. The other wolves instantly stop fighting after the crack they heard.

"Let him go, we've stopped fighting, and I think he has a broken rib thanks to you." Esme says.

Totem says, "have you practiced in healing like Noah?""

" Yes, but he didn't approve of us being together. "

"Didn't? Don't you mean doesn't?"

" he's dead. "

"Ok, enough history i missed, hellp Lobo.*

" alright. "

Totem then faces Gwen. "Explain yourself" she says. She said it like lobo was a pup and gwen bullied him.
