"Yeah sure you can come in" Duke had the towel wrapped around him and was spraying deodorant under his arms. Duke laid against the lockers waiting for Iris to come in, the boys were all changed with clothes so she could come in

Iris took a deep breath before she walked in " Boys boys boys... I know im not the Captain of the Football team.. but you have the best one right here in this room. " she began walking to Duke. " Im so proud of him. But he needs to be proud of you. We havent won a single game yet and Im betting all my time and effort to make this year count"

She took a break before continuing. " I need you boys to work your hardest and your very best. Ok? If you dont i'll be the one assigning punishments " she gave a wink to Duke " That's all, Captain" she kissed him before walking out of the room, but leaned againt the wall so she could listen in on what Duke had to say now.

" ok boys I ain't got much to say you heared the lady, I think she said, altough I m gonna say something If you want to be the best you have to take out the best " as he wore his clothes grabbed his backpack grabbed Iris's hand and walked to the parking lot, to head home. As they arrived in the parking lot he saw the new group waiting for him and they gathered around Duke and Iris.

"Iris get in the car now" and duke gave her the keys, he dropped his back pack on the ground to get ready for anything

" No, Captain. I heard what you said...didnt you say to them that if they wanted to be the best.. they had to take out the best, Duke?" she looked at him " you, Captain are the best.."

She then stood in front of him, pushing him into the car " boys. back off. " she warned them as she looked at them in turn " All of you need training. I get that. But fights with either me or Captain will not help you. I suggest you back off and come back tommorow for harder training"

She wasnt going to back down this easily.

Duke grabbed Iris "get in the car now, I won't say it again " he walked past her and face to face with one of them " You got a problem " Duke s forehead touching the others. " I ain't scared of none you so if you want to do something do it now let's get it over with duke closed his fists ready for action

Iris obeyed him and got in the car please be safe.... She thought as she looked behind her and watched the argument go on. She had the wondow open so she could hear every word.

One of the new students stood up to duke and said "you re our problem Captain " and all of them laughed. As duke heared the guy saying that shit he went up to him and gave him a headbutt and broke his nose " Another one of you has something else to say " as he walked around them " Yeah I taught so, get the fuck out of here " and all of them backed away. He walked towards the car and went in his car and sighed " I was scared I almost shit myself " Duke said to Iris

" you're tougher than you..think, babe" Iris siad reajusting herself. " Give them a harder time tomorrow. If you dont, I will. Now come on... lets get home and eat.. this baby is wasting my energy too fast" Iris turned the radio on and put it to low volume and stared out of the window, all the way back home.

Duke parked and got out of his car and went to help Iris holding her back for support. He took out his keys and opened the door. "What are you gonna cook for us tonight babe " he said looking at Iris

" Some sort of stew. But dont count on it " she chuckled as she slowly got of his car. " once we are bed this kid and I are taking a nap. You can jpin if you want of course"

She knew he would be there with her no matter what. Even through the rough spots of being a parent. " What are you going to do about those boys, Duke? They gave you a hard time today."
