| Spirit I was getting my coffee ready for the morning, and I missed what he does but poorly fitted tack/lameness issues are common within riding schools. If I remember correctly, you are limited on trainers in your area but I would still talk to the trainer about your issues and see if you guys can come up with something together |

| DEFINITELY could be a tack issue. My horse was terrible amount moving until I switched out her saddle. Could also be a lack of warmup- I don’t know if it’s cold where you are but sometimes horses (especially older ones) get stiff in cold weather and have trouble moving. A lunge warmup helps my horse a lot! |

| Oh my god! I had 299 mush, then after a little bit of exploring I came out with 500! Damn I need to explore more lol |

| heart geez thats on the trainer then if they know that their horse wont move unless they step in, theyre doing something wrong even a stubborn school pony should listen to you (even with the aid of a crop or spurs, and if the trainer won't let you use aids, despite knowing that might be the only thing that works, thats a problem) maybe you just need to find another trainer? |
