in the end it's just personal preference, but the best battle/explore wolves tend to have the better vitals and explore/battle related boosts

Honestly non-common pelts are kind of a curse, people tend to like all common pelts more, also I think they tend to do better with a lot of marking whereas other pelts can be hit or miss
