It's a lot of fun if you do it right. I always waterproof spray my tent and have two towels with me. One to clean up any spills/snow and one to set my boots on. Just keep an organized tent and keep the wet FAR away from the dry. I always put absolutely everything I can into zip lock bags.
The thing I like most is the lack of bugs. Hiking and activities are still super fun.
