as someone who uses neopronouns, tell them they're being an idiot and disrespectful to the entire community. First of all, it would be transphobia, not homophobia. Second of all, they must live in an echochamber to not understand why some people refuse to use neopronouns. Personally, it's always been hard for me to call other people "it" because it feels super disrespectful but I have friends who use that pronoun.
