Thoughts on the Nomads? (for the Sacrificials only): Marlowe considers them tyrants for putting themselves before the welfare of pups and den mothers, and doesn't believe that things will end peacefully with them, even if the thought of battle worries her.
.
Appearance:
Marlowe stands out amongst other wolves simply because of how uniquely pale her coat is, appearing ashy white then fading to black roots, giving her an almost cloudy or deceptively soft appearance. With her rounded ears and gentle golden-brown hues, Marlowe appears as a gentle cloud of mammal fluff. Against the stark paleness of her coat, Marlowe's ears and top of her snout are lined a faded black, while the tip of her bushy tail is also black.
Underneath all of her fur is a petite, lean body built for hunting fast prey and getting out of a sticky situations with ease. Marlow stands at about 27 inches at the shoulder and 101 pounds of lean muscle, a little smaller than the average wolf, but nonetheless capable of feeding her pack. Because of her soft appearance and smaller stature, it isn't surprising that many who have come across Marlowe considered her younger for how old she actually was. Even though she's a fully grown wolf, some still mistake Marlowe for a nine month old to year old wolf. In the beginning, this annoyed her, but overtime, Marlowe grew to simply role her eyes at their assumptions. As long as she felt she was providing for the pack, she was okay.
Because of her size as a pup and the paleness of her coat, Marlowe's parents felt as though she would not survive on her own, and thus treated her as if she would never be independent. Due to this behavior, Marlowe is not one to take notice of her appearance, nor is she exactly fond of it. Despite the nonchalance towards her appearance, Marlowe could be considered a pretty wolf, due to her slender frame and unique dark-to-light coat.
Personality:
Marlowe is a soft-spoken and gentle she-wolf, lending an open ear to the woes of her pack mates and offering advice whenever they need it. Her approach towards many things in life comes with patience and the willingness to understand a contrasting side to an argument, or at least, most arguments. Anything regarding the treatment of den mothers or pups, she will stand firm on her beliefs. It might be due to her having to fight for her independence, or losing her own pups, but Marlowe is extremely passionate when it comes to the well-being of those less fortunate than her, or more troubled than she. She also believes that anything can be possible with enough hard work and ambition, along with understanding that most things take time.
She had joined the Sacrificials not long after losing her pups, coming to the group weakened and tired from wandering so far to find some means of shelter. Marlowe wasn't just weakened, but her mental state was in shatters, and only in the past few months had she finally broken away from her overwhelming sadness and seen the light in the world around her. Because of their kindness, Marlowe remains forever grateful to the Sacrificials for taking her in during a rough time.
While the thought of conflict worries her, Marlowe would not think twice about attacking a wolf who hurt another who was defenseless and without reason. Call it motherly instinct, perhaps, but after spending time with the members of this pack, Marlowe feels a strong need to help as much as she can. That's what makes her different - her motherly nature and gentle ways.
