Esmra padded over to her food bowl and finished the food she didn't eat earlier. She scarfed it up before waking into the living room. She thought she should be the mature one and at least try to get to know the other dog. Esmra slowly crept to the dog and began sniffing his face. She was trying to be discreet with it as he seemed to be sleeping. Esmra took in his unfamiliar scent and locked it in her nose. She started slightly wagging her tail but that instantly stopped as she still had a grudge against him. . The husky soon walked away and laid down on the opposite side of the living room. Her eyes followed the humans as they were walking around, cleaning. She still wondered why they had picked her. Of course she wasn't complaining. But Esmra was always the quieter dog. She rarely barked unless there was a reason. Possibly because of her looks? Esmra recalls seeing tons of huskies around that looked just like her. Her eyes locked on a toy not far from her. It seemed to be a rope toy. A smile grew across her maw as she trotted over to the toy and began chewing it. She was laying on the ground with the toy between her paws. |

zeus lay quiet as he awoke from his nap, now feeling like he has enough energy for the day and he didn't need to take any more naps, but the male shepherd knew he would anyways. he noticed his owners, cassie and jacob, were still in the kitchen, though they were cleaning instead of sitting near the kitchen island with papers in their hands. he didn't sense any stress so he knew it wasn't anything bad which made him happy as he hated whenever his humans were feeling anything negative, he loved them. soon he remembered he had a new dog friend in the house, which zeus began to think about. he still didn't know how to talk to her, but he knew he had to because they lived in the same house, and it would be soo boring if zeus lived in a house with another dog and they weren't even on good terms. who would he chase around the backyard? although his owners could be that person, eventually he'd get bored of playing with them. i mean, most humans get bored of each other, don't they? though, zeus could never get bored of his people. . standing up, stretching, yawning, and looking for his new dog friend, zeus finally spotted her with a rope toy that was laying on the ground. taking a large breath before he began walking towards her, he felt a little anxious as he never spoke unless he was happy or with his dog park friends. zeus started walking across the living room to esmera, finally approaching her and watching her for a couple of seconds before he had said anything, or even made a noise. "greetings. i am zeus" he let out of his mouth, nodding his head in respect to try to get on the female's good side, because of earlier. he doubted she had any good thoughts about him but he didn't care, because he had negative thoughts about her too. |

Shortly after she started playing with the toy, she felt a large figure hover over her. Esmra's eyes darted up to see the fellow canine she was living with. Her curiosity as to why he walked over to her grew every second. Yet, she didn't question it. Hearing him confirm his name, the female stood up, appearing to be around the same size as the male. She kept her tail raised as she eyed him. "My name is Esmra." The words slipped out of her maw before she knew it. To be truthful, she didn't care what the male thought of her. She knew deep down that she was here to stay, whether he liked it or not. . Esmra glared at him before returning to the toy. She was always one to hold grudges, even though it gets you nowhere. He had no reason to snap at her when she walked in. But she also thought about if she was in his position. Having a new dog come into your house must not be very pleasant. Although she saw the jealousy pour from his face when she walked in. She should've known this was going to be a problem. "Look, Zeus, I am going to cut to the chase. I'm hesitant about you, and you're hesitant about me. I get it. But we need to make this work because I don't want our humans stressed about us." Esmra quickly said before she started chewing the toy again. |

zeus watched as she looked up at him and he wondered how this would go, would the two get along? who knows and who cares, honestly. i mean it'd be easy to ignore her if something had happened, zeus was amazing at ignoring people. the female stood up, her being just a wee bit smaller than he had been, her crystal blue eyes were one of the very first things he'd noticed when he was face to face with her. they were nicely coloured, though zeus kept that to himself as she didn't need to know he thought that. esmera. es-mer-a zeus thought. weird name he had added before deciding to reply to her." nice to meet you, esmera" the canine responded a while after letting his thoughts go through his mind. esmera's energy didn't seem aggressive or anything, though he knew she was very hesitant to talk, which was fine- i mean, zeus would be hesitant too if he was her. . as esmera returned her attention to the toy, he returned his to his owners who walked passed the two hoping they didn't assume everything was goody-two-shoes between the dogs. eventually, zeus felt it might be but he didn't wanna make any assumptions, because you never know of the future. as long as he was atleast on good terms with esmera, life wouldn't be too hard. either way it wouldn't be. as much as zeus wanted to walk away he didn't, even though the conversation wasn't going anywhere. esmera spoke again and automatically zeus looked at her, wondering why she had started talking again. "they won't be stressed, we just both have to work hard to get along and cause nothing for them to be stressed about" |

Her eyes darted towards him as he began to respond back to her. "Right.." She said back to him before she stood up. Her tail drooped down as she left the toy unattended. However, she still had tons of energy. Esmra nodded to Zeus before making her way to the doggy door. She walked outside and let out a long stretch before taking laps around the yard, hoping to drain her energy. Her tongue lolled from her mouth as she ran around swiftly. Esmra then suddenly stopped as she spotted a squirrel that ran up a tree in the yard next to her. She ran over and began barking at the squirrel. Esmra saw her owners come outside to investigate the commotion. Once they figured out why she was barking, they made their way back inside the house. . Once Esmra found that she had no hope with the rodent, she too went inside. The female walked over to her water bowl and began lapping up the cool water. Esmra walked into the living room and plunged on the floor, slightly tired. She was breathing fairly heavy and couldn't control it. Esmra thought to what Zeus had sad and realized he was right. She decided to let go of the grudge she had against him and decided to start over. |
