Moon gazed around the den, her mother besides her. "So," She barked, "when will Alpha Hades make me a hunter?" Moon cocked her head to one side. "Be patient!" Her mother snarled. Just then Hades padded up to Moon. "Come." He growled. Hades led Moon into the center of the clearing. She watched as wolves crowed around her, chanting her name. Hades howled for silence. He gazed into Moons eyes for a moment before narrowing his eyes and barking, "Moon you shall be the new alpha female. Moons eyes widened. "What...b...but I just wanted to become a hunter..." she stammered. Hades snarled and raked his claws across her eye. Moon yelped and bowed her head, accepting her place in the pack. Hades glared at her and snarled. "This is a huge honor, especially for such a lowly wolf like you." Moon looked up and snarled, "Call me lowly one more time." Every wolf fell silent, glancing at each other and backing up slowly. Hades snarled and lunged for Moons throat, but Moon was to quick. She quickly dodged out of the way and stuck out her paw, tripping Hades. She snarled and leaped onto his back. Moon glared at him and snarled, "You'll wish you'd never had been born!" Hades growled and sunk his fangs into Moons shoulder. Moon yelped and lunged for his throat, only to pulled off by her mother, Raven. Moon glared at her, flanks heaving. Hades glanced around at the rest of the wolves and snarled, "Don't just stand there you fools, kill her!" Moon yelped as she felt her mother, Raven sink her fangs into her already injured shoulder. "How could you betray us like this, Moon!" she snarled. "Your no daughter off mine!" Moon whimpered. Ravens comment was worse than any bite or claw mark. Moon howled with pain as she felt wolves pile on top of her, the weight crushing her.Suddenly she heard a long, dangerous howl. Then the weight was gone, she looked up to see her packmates surrounding her broken body. "Move." She heard a strange wolf bark. Moon slowly sat up, watching as Hades padded up to the strange male. " And who do you think you are, to boss me and my packmates around?" He snarled. The strange male raised his voice and snarled, "I am Kuro, son of Luna and Koa!" Moon's eyes widend she had heard of Koa and Luna, the two wolves had killed the old alphas, Wind and Breeze. Moon watched as Hades lunged forwards only to be swatted away by Kuro. Hades layed there stunned. "Kill him!" Snarled Beta. A moment later, Kuro was on the ground. Moon snarled and attacked the nearest wolf. Moon blindly attacked each wolf, until only Alpha Hades was left. Broken bodies of her old packmates lay across the clearing. " Now," She snarled, " I suggest you run!" Hades got up slowly before bolting away. Kuro layed their, blood pooled around him. He looked up at Moon, a wolfish grin on his face. " Ya did it!" He barked. She padded over to him and lapped at the wound on his muzzle. " No, we did it." She barked softly. "I'm Moon." She introduced herself. " And i'm Kuro." He barked back. Moon sat down besides him, lapping at several wounds on his pelt. " Why did you save me?" She asked. " Because," He barked, " I can't stand to see a wolf beaten and abused, especially not wolves like you..." Kruro turned his head, his pelt growing hot. Moon chuckled and nuzzled him, pressing her nose to his. " And what do you mean by that?" She asked sweetly. Kuro glanced over at her, a devilish grin on his face. " Well, a sweet, beautiful wolf like you doesn't deserve to be abused." Kuro stayed with Moon after that and soon they became mates. About a year later they were expecting pups. Soon after the pups were born the two females and one male wander off to go play, but another wolf had caught them on their territory and killed them and only one she-pup remained. Moon and Kuro had named her Raven, after Moon's mother, whom she had never stopped loving. And that is how the pack had begun.
