Tigerpaw walks through the lush green forest. He was terribly lost and he could see the storm clouds rolling in. He whimpers but then puffs out his chest and says to himself, "I am brave and I can get by on my own!" A crack of lightning lights up the sky. He jumps out of his skin and runs to a bush hiding under it. His mother never come back when she had left him to go look for food. He was worried for her, she would never just leave him. It starts to rain then pours. In a hissing of water droplets smashing into the ground, Tigerpaw, thought he heard something approaching, and quickly. He pushes himself farther under the bush and squeezes his eyes shut. He didn't want to die! Several wolves come bursting through the undergrowth looking around. "The mother's last words were to find her pup and make sure he is safe." A deep male voice said.
"And we followed her scent to this area but now it's raining and that will wash away any way of finding this little guy." Said a patient and quiet female voice.
Tigerpaw flicks his ears forward, listening to these wolves' conversation. Were they talking about him? He adjusts a little under the bush and accidentally steps on a thorn. Yelping he runs out of the bush.
The other wolves jump back in surprise then took chase after him. He was scared and now his paw hurt, what was he going to do?! He trips on a tree root and goes tumbling down the hill. He stops right in front of another wolf, a female with kind eyes, she smiles and says, "Hello there, no need to be scared we won't hurt you."
Rain soaked fur Tigerpaw shivers, he looks up to the female wolf and whimpers, managing to squeak out, "Please don't eat me!"
And that is when I found North Rescue pack. My mother had been killed by a bear that night and to this day I still miss her. Life is good in this pack. I'm in love with a wolf, her name is NightFire. It used to be NightPaw and my name used to be Tigerpaw, but we are both older now and now my name is Tigerheart. I'm glad that I was taken in that stormy night. Who knows what would have happened to me if those wolves hadn't gone looking for me.
